Protection, Yes. Comfort, No.
Yes, they are boots. Yes, they do protect. They are, however, the flimsiest feeling, cheap looking, most uncomfortable boots that I've ever taken for a ride. Would not recommend.

multi-purpose & Comfortable boot
Boot feels like you could do multiple things in road race or lite off road. Don't hurt your feet to walk in as well..
