Nothing to say, the Emmrod system is truly ahead of its time! What's the old saying you get what you pay for. Well with the emmerod system you get more than you paid for plus the customer service is exceptional!

Pleasintly supprised, worked great it's on the expensive side, however I do like that you can pick any rod option for this and just swap it out wih a different rod end. one handle can technically be like 5 or 6 rod options with a quick push and turn of the rod.

You can buy this directly from Emmrod, as I did, for $79 with a rod of your choice including the more expensive "Top water special", which is $30 by itself. The TPE grip is very nice and seems indestructible. The stainless steel rods are a work of art, very heavy-duty and well-made. This is a good quality items that I think will last for years. If you prefer a slightly longer butt end, then choose the kayak king. The bottom of this Rod accepts a threaded insert, so you could conceivably extend if you wanted to.I outfitted mine with a Lew's BB1 pro. On some initial practice casts using the six coil rod and a 3/8 ounce rubber plug I could cast about 75 to 80 feet, so roughly 25 yards. With a heavier lure I'm sure it would cast over 100 feet. They claim they can cast as far as a 6 1/2 foot rod, but I really have my suspicion about this. I unfortunately do not have another rod to do a side-by-side comparison. This is an ideal set up for me in my small kayak, and 75 to 80 foot casts are adequate for my needs.I e-mailed the company on multiple occasions to ask questions, but never received a response. It seems most of the promotion for this product is being done by Jeff McGovern, who is one of their dealers, and has a number of YouTube videos. Despite the lack of support, I still think the product itself is very well made, and I don't see you needing service very often, if ever. I removed one star for the lack of a response from the company.
