Great product
Easy to use. For me, it helps me peels potatoes and cucumbers more efficiently. The ceramic blade is very sharp so just be careful .

Awesome peeler, nice thin slices.
The Shenzhen Peeler, does take some getting used to for a couple of reasons:1) Horizontal blade. Normally there is a vertical blade in steel peeler, however I actually like the horizontal alighment as it makes it easier to peel potatoes (you don't have to bend your wrist as much or twist the potato)2) Lightweight. For those who are used to the heavy rubber steel peelers, than this peeler is not for you. But the lightweight design makes it more maneuverableNot sure what the other reviewers are complaining about when it comes to thick peels. I noticed no difference between my steel peeler and ceramic peeler. It's actually very thin and not at all thick peels, but I think one person was a very picky foodie type (you can't please everyone I guess!) And not sure if the other reviewer was correct in his assertion that 1/3 of the weight was peeled off, as intuitively, 1/3 of the weight is an awful lot of peelings and doesn't make sense to me personally. It might be where they are using too much pressure when they peel, as this peeler is very SHARP, so you can use a light stroke and still get the job done.

Great peeler
Perfect for peeling citrus!! The ceramic peeler does not discolor the peel making this one perfect. It is super sharp so thin slices are achievable.

Very easy to use and clean, but does make thicker peels
The peeler is extremely sharp and also quite easy to clean. It is also unexpectedly light and easy to hold -- a benefit for many folks. Seems durable, though I've only had it a little while. Probably the only down side is that, as someone else commented, the peels are somewhat thick -- about twice as thick as my regular Oxo swivel peeler. Mostly, that's not especially important (it can actually be helpful for some things, like beets) but isn't great for very small carrots, for example. I still like it, though.

Best peeler around!
I bought a pack of ceramic peepers when I could no longer find the old school metal ones. The ceramic ones I bought were small and the blades chipped pretty easily. This peeler is sturdy, fits in your hand, and gets the job done at least as well as the old school apple peelers of my childhood..

A lot of waste
This peeler is of very good quality and very sharp. It peels like a breeze. The handle is made of plastic, but it is sturdy. The only thing I don't like about it is that the peelings are at least two to three times as thick as with other peelers. To determine the waste, I did a simple experiment. Tools used: One Shenzhen Knives Ceramic Peeler, a precision kitchen scale (accuracy +/- 1 gram) and one average sized carrot. To begin, I weighed the carrot. The un-peeled carrot weighed exactly 70 grams. I then peeled the carrot with only one swipe around the length of the carrot. I did not peel twice on any part of the carrot. I then weighed the peeled carrot. Results: Carrot now weighed 47 grams. From 70 grams to 47 grams is a loss of 33%. To me, the waste is excessive and unacceptable (especially if one buys pricey organic produce.) Those who own this peeler know what I'm talking about. If one doesn't mind losing over 1/3 of their produce to waste, then this peeler is the bomb. Now, lets talk about the Shenzhen Knives company itself. Shenzhen Knives takes a disparaging comment on their products VERY serious. Shortly after my original post, I was contacted by the company (via the comment section), who offered to exchange or refund the peeler. Due to the low price, I did not wish to go to the time and trouble. Leaving no other options to satisfy a customer, the company told me that they had purchased and shipped a competitors ceramic peeler to me. Personally, I was shocked that a company would go the limit to ensure that their customers are happy. Now, I admit that I have never owned a ceramic peeler until now. Maybe they all peel the same way and thickness. I guess I'll have to wait and see, if and when the new peeler shows up. I'll keep this review updated. Bottom line for me, so far, is that the peeler gets three stars, but, Shenzhen Knives (as a company) gets a full five stars for customer care and service. I wouldn't be surprised if Shenzhen knives did some engineering changes on the peeler in the not too distant future. If so, I'll buy another.Follow Up: I did receive a competitors ceramic peeler from Shenzhen Knives, as promised. Amazing. They sent me a Kyocera Y-Peeler (Black), sold on Amazon. I will say that the Shenzhen Knives ceramic peeler wins on it's looks (smooth curves) and feel in my hand (thumb indent to place thumb when peeling). The winner for functionality, however, easily goes to the Kyocera Y-Peeler. It very quickly and easily peeled very thin strips with little or no waste.Final Note: Shenzhen Knives, is a terrific company. Just a small engineering change and Shenzhen Knives ceramic peeler will no longer have any competition.
