Good Directions Blue Heron Cottage Weathervane, Includes Roof Mount, Blue Verde Copper, Patina

Fantastic quality. It is gorgeous and goes great with the house. It is heavy duty. And the directionals are not flimsy. Extremely well made. It swings freely in the breeze. Had a new roof put on and decided to change out the old rooster vane with this gorgeous Heron. Excellent item. I ordered the smaller version first and realized the larger one would look nicer. They both were excellent. Bought the mount separately. Well worth the money.

This was easy to assemble and seems robust enough to weather any storm. I wondered if I needed to buy a bracket for installation but found the one that came with it to be just fine. The finish is a beautiful copper patina that looks like it will weather nicely. It rotates in the wind but is heavy enough that it doesn't spin wildly in the breeze.I considered getting the bigger model but am glad I got this one which looks perfect on my 10" x 16" foot shed.

Bought this for my wife for her gardening shed. First off, it was a decent value for the money. Overall the weathervane looks nice. Has a nice faux-tina that looks somewhat realistic, especially when it’s up on the roof. The bird itself is a little thin but not terrible. Easy assembly. Does ok turning into wind — takes a good, strong wind to turn it.

In the neighborhoods of my youth older homes frequently had these old windvanes on the roof, but so many of those older homes are gone now, and with it the custom touches and gingerbread of that era.For a very minimal fee, I was able to bring this finishing touch of elegance to my neighborhood, to the delight of all my neighbors who can see if for two blocks. (I live on a corner).Quality product made from good metal and the design itself should never need oiled!Fantastic item and this maker has maybe a hundred different designs?

Very nice looking item — BUT — make sure you spray it with clear Rustoleum.The reason: about three weeks after installation — I noticed rusting along the metal seams of the bird. I took the Heron ornament off its pole; then I brushed as much of the rust away; then — I sprayed it with a can of clear Rustoleum to weatherize it.The manufacturer/seller, Good Directions, should make you aware of the need to do this in the assembly instructions.Bottom line: the best surprise; is no surprise

This is a great product, didn't want to put a bad review, things happen, but when I removed it from the box notice on the wing seam that it had a crack in the seam where it was welded onto the body, thank you Amazon for understanding and replacing it so quickly

Must take quite a lot of wind force to move. I placed grease on it with no results. Customer service is great but product just does not turn with the direction of the wind unless it is forceful. Looks ok but disappointed. Nice roof ornament.

Cant say enough about the amazing customer service I received from this company. I had a problem and Matt the service Manager went out of his way to fix it. I love the product I bought and will buy from them again.

We had to adjust the bracket to become a ridge vent one. Luckily we had the parts needed because we did not want to return or buy another one. The weathervane is just beautiful on our new shed. Very glad with this purchase.

love this bird.we just had a hurricane and our gazabo is right beside the ocean. everyone thought no way can this bird survive this weather as trees were overturned everywhere. Blue as my husband calls the bird is flying high, unharmed best purchase ever. this bird is now part of the family.

is a birthday present for my husband so haven't unpacked it yet. my son says it looks good(he is hiding it).
