Honeybees (Penguin Young Readers, Level 3)

This is a nice little book for young children. The illustrations are wonderful!!! The author and illustrator did a lot of research for this book. While it is mostly accurate there is one thing that bothered me enough to write this review. On page 29 it is stated: "Only one drone will mate with the queen." This is not accurate as the queen will mate with 5-30 drones on her mating flights. I still intend to send this book to my grandchildren but will add a note on that page so they are not given false information about bees.

I used this book during STEM day at our school. My kids loved this book.

Bought this for m grandson. He loved it.

Children love learning about nature and the world around them. This book was a good example of appropriate information written at a level for children.
