Stay on top of your game, one day at a time
What is so cool about this book is not so much what it contains as much as how it is written. It consists of 100 tips written on mostly one page, occasionally carries over onto a second page. You can read them in seconds; get the idea or thought, then move on. To me it would be a great book to read one to three tips a day. For people like me who only think about golf whenever I get a chance to play, the book gives me the opportunity to think about golf a little bit every day. Most of the items covered in the book are not about the golf swing, they are about the mental side of the game as are Dr. Parent's other books, Zen Golf and Zen Putting. It is like taking the yellow highlighted sections from Zen Golf and Zen Putting and putting only those words into this book like a daily study. I like it if you can't tell. I also like all of Dr. Parent's books, CDs and DVDs; he is a fabulous teacher of the mental game.

Transform your mental game
Most golfers know that the biggest obstacle to good performance on the course is the space between our ears - our mind! However, most of us practice developing a mental game even less than we practice chipping and putting! We all know that the best way to permanently change behavior and attitude is to do it in small steps over a long period of time - like studying for an exam by taking good notes during class instead of cramming the night before. The beauty of this book is that the chapters are short and easy to read - most of them no more than two or three pages. You can read one chapter a day or even two and gradually transform your mental game. If you do not have fun on the golf course and find yourself angry at yourself I highly recommend you read this book slowly - and over a long period of time.

Help for those with a love hate relationship with golf
Anyone who has struggled on the course to keep focused will see themselves in the many pointers explained in this book. It has made the game much more enjoyable for me and associates that have also read it.

Meh. Another top (whatever) list
Parent's Zen Golf is phenomenal. It's a guide not only to golf, but to life. If you read just the part about the monk your life will be changed. (spoiler) You don't have to change yourself, just be aware and changes will happen - seriously - it's that easy. This book? Sorry, but it's just a money grab. Popular first book, name recognition, blah blah blah. I liked it because I like the author ... oh, and it was free.

Takes a Bit of Study but Well Worth The Gymnastics
Visualization of shots, closing the door on a previous shot, and other helpful hints to provide mental focus while out on the course. I found it very helpful.

Golf: The Art of the Mental Game
The format is not what I expected when I ordered it: 100 tips. However, the book is well organized and helpful. The author breaks it down to different sections: practice, full swing, putting. I find myself returning to the book after a round or practice session and re-reading different sections. For the list price, it is a bargain. For the reduced price offered by Amazon (approximately the cost of a sleeve of Pro-V1's), the book is a must have.

Really practical advice on your approach
This is the second book of his I have read. Those one skips some of the background theory and references to others if favour of every page being the description of a situation on the course and how to approach it. Excellent!

Inspiring
This book is just awesome. Every page is inspiring. I have read it, read it and read it again, highlighted each point most relevant and read those again and again. It has changed my game completely. Now I play with much more confidence. pars are becoming more the norm. Easy to pick up and read bits of it at a time - with each tip being short and simple. I have also bought Zen putting but that is no where near as easy to read and take in as this book is.

As a new comer to the game I found this ...
As a new comer to the game I found this a very interesting read and it put many things into perspective. Some say that the mental game is 80% of the overall game of golf and after reading this and as a beginner, for me it most definitely is!!!
