Nutrafin Nutramatic 2X Fish Food Feeder

I ordered it to replace my old Nutramatic that was designed to fit in the hood of my Tropiquarium 88, whose electronics had become unstable. The web page for this product, in the first of three installation positions, shows exactly what I need. Unfortunately, as shown in my photo containing the old and the new Nutramatic, the new one is taller. It doesn’t fit in the hood compartment that holds the old one. The dimensions on the product page unfortunately do not include its dimensional measurements. At this point I am undecided about returning it.

This is the second one I've had, in six years. Read many bad reviews on this product, but I've done well by it, since my fish are all still alive, and it keeps the tank clean, no over feeding. You have to check about every two weeks how much fish food is in it. You also have to read and understand the instructions when you start using it. It's made out of plastic so this is an important step. You need to understand how it works before you start using it. This new one has an adjustable tab on it, to regulate the amount of food being dispensed, and the manufacturer has added a cover to the dispensing slot to cut down on moisture. Both improvements. Motor is still noisy, but I like that, at least I know it is working. Long battery life so far, about two years feeding twice a day.

After 2 days of use this system will fail. Moisture from your tank will get into the food dispenser and it will not feed. I have tried moving it around the tank with no success. My suggestion is to rig a device so that the dispenser is raised 6 to 7 inches(or more) above the water line to limit evaporation from entering.

We had to move to a temporary home due to mold restoration and bought this so we wouldn't have to go back and forth, but it releases way too much fish food! It didn't work out for us, so unless you have a 100 gallon tank, it probably won't work. Save your money.

This is a *really* low tech automatic feeder, and I basically use it only for trips of 3-4 days, to feed reptile sticks to my turtle. While it is basically built very simply, and with lousy materials, and will dispense more over time as the amount of food in the feeder changes, it has served me well for about 10 (!) years of infrequent use (3-5 short trips a year). There are now an assortment of other products on the market; there where none when I bought this. So I can recommend it, but you can probably find better built and more flexible products (for less money) now.

It is not a good quality, the food falls out too easily. Don’t waste your money

Es mentira que vienen dos unidades. Además, el producto es de muy mala calidad. Ni siquiera la comida gratis que envían corresponde a la de la foto en la caja. Quiero mi dinero de regreso. NO COMPRAR

The media could not be loaded.  es muy basico , no trae pilas, es un poco voluminoso 15 x 8.5 en total , no hace nada de ruido, no tiene boton de manual ni de programar ,basicamante metes las pilas y cada 12 horas da una vuelta.el problema es la cantidad que tira , si lo pones al minimo con la lengueta blanca , el sistema de bolitas , te echa 0 o 2, ,basicamante cuando coincide una bolita mas pequeña de lo normal .si lo pones en la seguda posicion tira muchas , en mi caso caso con dos peces, es de mas cada 12 horas.en las pruebas me ha tirado una media de 42 bolitas, para mi esas son muchas bolitas, con las escamas tampoco me ha servido ,para que salga alguna tienes que abrir mucho la puerta y entonces caen muchas,entiendo que para una pecera de por lo menos 50 litros y con 4 peces va perfecta .

The food disk was very hard to open at first, but it has loosened up and is now easy to open. The batteries were also very difficult to insert/remove but have loosened up somewhat; still very stiff but easier. I have no trouble with humidity gumming up the food, but I also have it far away from the filtration system and airstone. It's quite loud and startled the fish at first, but they've learned the sound means feeding time. It works well with both flakes and pellets.I only wish I had splurged on the one that feeds four times a day.

Très efficace et simple d'utilisation. Après un mois d'utilisation, rien à redire.L'autonomie semble très longue, je l'utilise tous les jours.L'utilisation est simple, pas d'écran de réglage. On met les piles, l'appareil délivre une première ration (qui permet d'affiner le réglage). Puis tous les 12 heures il fera une rotation.J'utilise une nourriture en petit grain (pour petit poisson) et il est possible de délivrer de petites doses, ce qui rend le produit parfait.
