MerrellMen's Intercept Dark Earth

These shoes fit me well 1/2 size larger than most others. The toes are kind of pointed and my feet aren’t. They are very comfortable and I had a pair previously that took years to wear out. They were a little tight on my toes though. I ordered this pair 1/2 size bigger ( I have 2 pair of Merrill shoes that are 8s and fit great) and this solved the problem with my toes. Traction is great. Looks are out of this world. Buy some before they are all gone.

This is the second pair of these shoes I’ve had. Get complimented on them all the time. Like all the other Merrill products they are super comfy and rugged. Highly recommend.

I have only walked about 5 miles in them so far in a "park" type setting, but they are very comfortable. I can update this review later after a few month's to see how they hold up.

I ordered these for easy hiking/walking and love them so far. I have narrow feet and these fit like a glove. Not sure they will work as well for reg or wide feet, however. Also, I ordered another pair in black and a half size smaller from another dealer (inSpain!) and they finally arrived. They also fit great! Yeah, a half size smaller. I am not sure what to make of that....but happy that they fit!

The media could not be loaded.  It's been a lot of years using Merrell but this one is the last one Im going to purchase from them, the quality is not the same, not even 6 months of use and they are coming apart.

The quality of the shoes appeared to be excellent, and their design makes it very flexible as to when you can wear them - they should be good walking / hiking shoes and appearance wise, it definitely meets smart casual and probably business casual standards depending on the color you choose (mine were dark earth). But the sizing is way off - I normally wear a size 11.5 in Merrells and my foot is a standard width in most shoes. I ordered the size 12 but they were way too tight across the ball area of the foot (sideways and on top) and my toes pushed tightly into the front of the shoe as soon as I took a few steps. If you have narrow feet and get a (full?) size up from normal, these will probably work for you, but otherwise I would steer well clear of them. Which is a pity as they are otherwise well designed and made. Other reviews attest to their comfort if they fit, and plenty of reviewers warned about them being too small. I took a chance on a larger size and still found them unwearable. I might try a size 13 but I haven't seen any of those in this model shoe and the dark earth color I want, and I suspect the size 13 would fix the length problem but not the width problem. I am returning them tomorrow for a refund.It is annoying to have to mess with the product return when the shoes are listed, clearly wrongly, and fit = normal size. Amazon should correct this given the number of reviewers who have said they are smaller than the sizes claimed.

My husband thinks these are the best gift he ever got. The fit, the style, the sturdiness. Great Product

I wear these shoes for work and play and so far I have few complaints. They're grippy in the wet and good for challenging hikes but not very waterproof. They look great but the fit leans towards slim with a high arch which is perfect for me. I'm on my third pair but have never paid full price so shop around and you'll definately find good deals.
