Good iron for the price
Considering I don’t iron for a living this is adequate for pants and shirts. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver. I suppose if I needed a huge amount of steam other more expensive irons would do the trick but for the price how can you go wrong. This iron replaced another back and decker I’ve used for 10 years. I like the retractable cord feature but the base is a littlenarrow which make the iron wobble a bit on the ironing board.

Does a better job than most
I had a Rowenta, which I had hoped would live up to its reputation, but was always disappointed it its performance. Tried this one at my daughters and was mightily impressed, so much so I came right home and ordered one. It does a better job of getting out wrinkles that any of the last 2 more expensive models I've had and since getting out wrinkles it what its supposed to do - I highly recommend.

Durable Replaceable Model
The iron is not the same. Its blue and has a different model no., its model ICR19XXSU. I guess it replace the other model, I should of been told. It's slightly heavier which I don't like. Kept it because I needed the iron. Its ok.

Lightweight
It's a great iron. It's lightweight, but powerful. The steam feature is great. Instantly takes out wrinkles. It can also be held vertically to steam articles of clothing. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Works great for all types of clothes
Love my new iron. The only thing I would change is the steam controller button it tends to move to the off position very easily . Otherwise it dieses great job.

Great iron for a great price!
Really great iron. It's lightweight, so it's very easy to maneuver. I like the no-drip technology that prevents water from spotting your clothes. Has great steam output, so it really gets the wrinkles out. I'm not so crazy about the chrome on the handle (looks a little cheezy), but that doesn't affect the performance, so I can live with it. All in all, I'm very happy with it.

I would pay $40 to have someone take this off my hands!
This is the cheapest product I've ever paid $40 for. Since the day I received it, it leaks water everywhere. It doesn't have anyway of indicating you that the iron is ready/heated, so it's basically a guessing game. It overheats after about two minutes and then just shuts off (the red light starts blinking); the only way to fix it is to unplug it for 15 seconds and plug it back in. The lid that closes off where you add the water doesn't even shut all the way so water leaks out of there as well. The entire product as a whole feels incredibly cheap and horribly made. Will never buy another Black & Decker iron again.

Not the quality I would expect from Black & Decker
Disappointing to say the least. I bought this iron exactly one year ago today, and as a seamstress I'm a heavy user, especially of the cotton setting with steam. I have only used distilled water in this iron.It started out great. The iron gets nice and hot, and I love that it turns off automatically and heats back up very quickly. The plate allows for smooth ironing and while it's heavy, it's not too heavy for my Ehler's Danlos (lax joints) hands to iron large amounts of items.I didn't like the way you have to add water. You have to hold the iron as if you are ironing, but aloft so you don't scorch your table/ironing board. Then you have to pour the water into a small 3/4" space that frequently backs up, spilling water all over. If you are very careful about how fast you are pouring, you can manage without a mess. A funnel won't sit nicely in the space (and it would back up anyway).About 4-5 months ago the iron started leaking badly from the front plate. I've never dropped it so I have no idea why it started to leak. I have it continuously set up on a table ironing board in a corner and I control the power to the iron with a power strip. There's no chance to trip over the cord or knock into the board. Anytime that I turn on the iron with water in it, it splutters out the front, and when I'm ironing it drips everywhere, soaking my ironing board and table.I can deal with that, and planned to get a spray bottle instead of using the steam/spray feature, but yesterday the "auto clean" button mysteriously fell off overnight. The iron was right where I left it, and the button sitting on the table. I tried to reinsert it into its place, but whatever was holding it in was gone. I didn't worry too much about it, but to my dismay, when I refilled the water reservoir, the top half of my reservoir emptied onto my table through the place where the auto clean button once sat.I don't know if I would recommend this iron. Clearly something is going wrong with my specific iron when it comes to the water system. Maybe if you are an infrequent ironer, this iron would be fine for you. If you are a heavy user, well, it looks like reviews are mixed.
