Levenhuk50L NG Azure Microscope

This microscope was a gift to my daughter. I wanted to get something that would last her throughout both play and study for years to come. She is 6 years old and loves sciences of all types. She absolutely loves this microscope. We leave this in her care, and believe me when I tell you she is not gentle with anything. I feel as if this is sturdy enough that we can let her use it at her leisure without complete supervision. I enjoy that it has a carrying case that holds all the accessories (it even holds the extra, prepared slide sets that we got to go along with the standard offering). Also, I wanted to get her something with a wide enough magnification range to be able to view a close up of common items such as coins, but also able to get fine inspection of other items and see the "creepy crawlies" in creek water and such. After some brief explanation of operation and occasional assistance, she has grasped use of the microscope to the point that she regularly uses it by herself. Exactly what I was hoping.

This microscope was purchased for a very excited 6 year old boy. I read hundreds of reviews because we did not want to purchase a toy. We wanted a real microscope he could learn and grow with. The first couple of days were great....Then the light went out and it is so rusted we can't even replace the batteries. So the $100 I spent on this item was a waste. I didn't purchase bc it was least expensive....I would have paid more, bc I thought I was getting a quality product. I am very disappointed.

Good but though it included hook up for recording to computer.

Haven't used it yet but it appears to have pieces missing from the set and NO COVERS!! Now I have to buy slid covers

Amazing for the price, but it's so dirty I can't get the detail I'm looking for.

So far so good! My husband always wanted a microscope so that was his Christmas present. This microscope is sturdy (made of metal), and perfect for any student and adult amateur. Nice product.

A great product for anyone with a curious mind. Bought for my daughter (8) and she loves it. It's great that it has both lighting below and above. Definitely recommend this product.
