Bought this for transferring a family member into the car

I am a PTA & I needed a gait belt I could wipe down due to infection control & this works great. Handle could be a bit difficult to open once fully closed but it works.Some gait belts can be stiff but this is very flexible and I can roll it up and put in pocket, my bag, loop it through walker or simply wrap around my waist for easy carry. Sharpie works well to label it also. Wish it came in different/brighter colors

I bought this gait belt to use in the shower for my mother (who is 97 and has dementia). This belt worked wonderfully for my sister and I. The hospice company that came in did not want us to use this because it had a self-clasping belt, unlike theirs. To be honest, this was easy to put on Mom, easy to take off, and because she screamed with pain when bathing her, it was a miracle to use on her. I would buy it again.

The belt is easy to feed though the latch and secure tightly.However, the extra loop to secure the excess length is not physically connected to the belt, so it slipped off and got lost after just a few uses. The belt is really long, so the loop to secure the excess is pretty important. A few of my friends who have this gait belt had the same problem.
