VIFAH V415 Outdoor Wood Arm Chair

I needed a small chair for my patio, my little sanctuary place I sit to relax. I've had other chairs that between the rain and the bugs, destroyed them quickly. This one, made out of eucalyptus hardwood, was what I needed. It arrived safely packaged. Once I figured out how to put it together, and to switch some pieces so that they were on the inside not seen on the outside because of some flaws in the staining, it turned out just perfect and sturdy. These are not large outdoor chairs. I am 5' tall, 100 pounds and it fits me perfectly - so if you are 200 pounds and 5-8" or taller, they won't work for you. I would even have these inside a house. A regular size seat cushion works perfect with them. I am really happy with the purchase.

I purchased two chairs for my outdoor sitting area. The first chair was easy to assemble. Not sure what happened with the second one but it took at least twice as long to put together.Easy enough for one person to assemble. Directions are really easy-this is typically a struggle for me! Once the chair is together, it is solid and sturdy.The chairs are nice to look at. I prefer sitting in one of these to my resin wicker chairs. Can add a chair pad or pillow for extra softness, as they are made of wood.Great deal-I bought them during one of Amazon's Treasure Chest deals. Not sure I would have paid full price though. Worth it? Yes but they weren't in my budget for that price.

My initial order for this chair ended up in California. Unfortunately, (well fortunately actually) I live in North Carolina. After e-mailing the seller and sending my purchase invoice and the a copy of the FedEx tracking, a replacement chair appeared on my doorstep in a couple of days. The seller was very responsive about fixing the shipping problem.Assembly was very quick and easy. All the parts fit perfectly and the screws went into the pre-drilled holes without a problem. The chair is now sitting in my garden under my dogwood trees. I bought seat and back cushions for it as this chair is not that comfortable by itself.Now we will see how long this chair lasts in the out of doors. Nothing was included saying what to use to protect the chair from the elements. Having had other eucalyptus wood chairs, I know they WILL rot. (Since teak wood is incredibly expensive, I choose not to buy it.) I have had good luck using "teak oil" to protect other outdoor furniture, so I will use it on this chair. Yes, I know "teak oil" has nothing to do with teak wood. Yes, I know "teak oil" is some unknown mixture of hydrocarbons and resins, but I don't care. It works for me. A tip from experience. DO NOT put boiled linseed oil on any outdoor furniture. Linseed oil is just food for mold and mildew.

Found the beautiful bench (last picture) at HOMEGOODS, but desired the matching chair- searched, but to no avail. But of course AMAZON had it (but of course AMAZON would). Matched perfectly all but the color which was a bit more reddish than the bench, but the pattern was spot on so... Dang AMAZON keeps making me spend coin! A bit harsh on the hiney (but its a wooden chair) which a cushion would help. Sturdy, well built and arrived FULLY ASSEMBLED. I’m all the way in!

I put this on my front stoop, to sit while watching the dogs, and to put packages out for the mailman.It looks good, it's plenty wide - even for heavy people, and supports the weight.It's been out there for a few months, and no sign of decay or mold, so I'm pretty happy with it.It's a wooden chair, so I don't expect it to be comfy for hours on end. but for watching the dogs, it's good, and I like the arm rests to help me get back up. I'm arthritic, and that's an actual benefit to me.

This chair fits together nicely, and looks nice. However, it is very, very uncomfortable, and not for people over perhaps 4'4". Arm rests are skinny and uncomfortable. No back support where it is needed. Ordered 4 of these. Two are going to my stepson, who will take anything that's free, and the other two will be used in an area for looks only. Finish is rough and needs sanding.

Positives- looks good, sturdy. Okay for outdoors.Negatives- assembly- screws did not align with some holes, screw heads are easily stripped and must be tightened with pliers.I bought one chair and I am debating buying another to have a matching pair.

So pleased that Amazon offers what they refer to as "used or returned items, or possible damaged items." This wasmy first purchase. This little chair, which I use on my deck arrived in perfect condition from the Warehouse. I cannot see one paint chip, scratch, dent, or imperfection on the chair. Even the box looked to be in perfect condition, although, possibly a little more tape was used to hold the box together. The chair was very easy to put together, so no parts were missing in that respect. I bought a nice bright color cushion for the chair. It is perfect for my deck, both the chair and the cushion. I could not be happier; and I was able to save a few $$ on the chair. Thank you Amazon for offering items from the Warehouse. It was delivered at Amazon's usual fast delivery. Do not be afraid to purchase items that say "used, returns, or Warehouse items." From now on, I will check first to see if the item I want is offered at a cheaper price from the Warehouse.
