Pelican1200 Camera Case With Foam (Orange)

I bought this to keep my $700 camera safe when traveling with it and I have full faith in the durability and waterproof seal this product provides. The foam inside is easy to pick apart and the grid pattern allows you to get the perfect shaped hole to store any item. The soft but supportive foam keeps you item secure without damaging your item. The overall size of the container is great, I can fit the camera, lens, charger, and two batteries in the small container. Even with all the items in the container there is ample foam in between each item. Highly recommended. The quality matches the cost.

I bought a 1200 in orange for my two GoPro cameras and assorted mounts (see uploaded pictures). The 1200 is the perfect size (depth) to fit a GoPro camera on its side; you would likely waste a lot of space under the camera if you mounted it on its back. The case is the perfect size for my use (a Hero 3+, an original Hero HD, one BacPac, WiFi remote, spare adhesive mounts, spare backdoors, suction cup mount, handlebar mount, and assorted mount extensions / pivots. If I get any more mounts or another BacPac I will have trouble fitting it all in this case.The case itself is great build quality and feels very sturdy (just like every Pelican case I've used). The latches take significant effort to open, but that means they'll be less likely to pop open on accident. I would not hesitate to buy another Pelican case should I outgrow this one or need another one for other items.I chose to go with a Pelican case rather than a soft case because I've used Pelican cases before at work and in person life and have always been impressed with their ability to protect sensitive contents, even when used as checked luggage. Based on this past experience, I knew it could easily protect my cameras in the trunk of my car. I went with orange so if I'm trying to find this at night after a long day I could easily spot it.

Another great product from Pelican and Amazon. I received my package this afternoon. It was packaged very well and was absolutely brand new. Sometimes you can get a worn box or dirty merchandise from other sellers. Not from Amazon. The shipping information was sent to me through text. I highly recommend signing up for text alerts. The Pelican 1200 box itself is a good size for the price. Well made and sturdy. It fits all of my Go Pro Hero 3 including wall charger, car charger, extra batteries, extra mounts, head mount, LCD Touchbac and extra backs perfectly. No extra room but I bought it for this purpose. A tip that I could not find answers to online. I called Pelican to find out what to do about the red tag on the automatic purge valve on the box near the handles. I was informed that it should stay there. Do not remove it. I saw some posts about how hard it was to remove. That is because you should not remove it. It may compromise the integrity of the valve so leave it alone! All around a quality, good looking, affordable waterproof box. Keep up the good work!

Normally I am never motivated to write reviews unless extreme positive/negative experience.This case by itself is just fantastic & I sometimes just stare at its utilitarian simplicity & beauty.The PVC sticker that comes on the case peels off with only vaccum pressure, leaving no sticky residue behind & just a hint of that amazing new PVC scent some people like myself are attracted to.Dense material, fiberglass reinforcement is visible on every surface, handle folds flat, latches are easy to use yet extremely robust & shut like a vault.The perfectly fitted foam insert that you can customize easily by hand is just the icing on the dessert of excellence.For me, this was somewhat of a testing afterthought for storing AR15 magazines; but discovered it makes an absolutely perfect impromptu case for a Glock 30 & 5 magazines & will be the only brand of case I buy for anything needing casing.Keep up the great work Pelican.Wonder if they make phone cases?

It's what you expect from Pelican, very high quality product available in a range of colours.The pickable foam on the inside allows you to choose the cutout shape for whatever you plan to keep inside.

The Pelican 1200 case with foam works well and is exactly what I wanted for its intended purpose (including color).

I very rarely leave 5 stars for anything. Pelican cases earn this rating. Been using them for over 15 yrs. I have a dozen or so in various sizes/colors and 4 different sized coolers. Every single one is rock solid and has never caused a problem or disappointed me in any way. This 1200 model case is no different. Perfect for keeping our valuables (phones, keys, BT speaker, Go Pro) secure at the beach/lake when we want to wonder around or take a dip. Pair this with a short steel cable and some luggage locks and attach to your cooler or beach cart so no one can easily run off with it. I will always buy Pelican cases when the need arises. If you want the best case on the market then look no further.

I had originally purchased this to take on a dive trip and while I decided not to take it because of weight reasons, this pelican case is in a class of its own. I wanted to have a waterproof solution for my phone and cameras and had planned to carry this around with me in a backpack but decided not to because it is slightly too heavy for that utilization. Otherwise, this case is very well made and would trust it to protect any piece of gear I own. The pluck and place foam is great as you can pretty much make a hole to fit any shape you desire. It can hold my 2 go-pros, batteries, charger, cables, 2-4 mounts, cellphone, memory cards, a few filters with room to spare. I always keep a inch cusion between fragile pieces and the edge of the case so it can even hold more if you need it to. While it's not great for backpacking, I can definitely see how much use I will get out of it come ski season.

I protect all of my critical stuff in Pelican cases, Go Pro, Digital Pre Amp/DAC, laptop, portsble PC's and lanterns... Only knock on this is Amazon jacking up the price for the orange case over the more common black case. I needed a different colour to differentiate it from the other 2, as it is used for my backup eSATA hard drives.
