To be honest, I don't use many of the preprogrammed formulas but if you're not so good at math this is a must have. The one thing I can't do without is the ability to enter feet and inches. That is priceless, results in more accurate calculations. The square up and volume functions save yiu loads of time too and the stair function is very handy when yiu know your total rise and want to figure out how many steps you need to form up with a given tread width or you can designate a total run and have it figure your tread widths. Because I used my first Construction Master for so long and it did not have trade-specific features like figuring rebar, I tend to use my old workarounds out of force of habit. But, someone younger in the concrete business would use those often. The major upgrade for me is the Armadillo case which was included on my model. IT allows the calculator to take a lot of abuse. If you are ordering concrete or concrete materials everyday for flat slabs, you probably do most of the math in your head.
