NiedereggerMarzipan Classic Bar, Orange, 3.88 Ounce (Pack of 10)

I ordered these this year to add to my different hand out Christmas card and tips for the special people in my life. These are a real hit with everyone that received them. I’ve had other orange/chocolate type deserts and this one is by far the very best. It’s the perfect balance of orange flavor with the chocolate. Just over the top flavor and I know I will be ordering again!

The taste was good, subtle and not overwhelming, but I was disappointed because the bars were a little too dry to be considered fresh. Had they been fresh I would have given them a 5 star rating and also bought more.

So disappointed in the quality of these chocolate bars. Thy were all turning white. Not suitable for gifting and pretty unappealing to even eat myself.

It’s good chocolate

I first had this from a grocery store in Salzburg 😊 and fell in love with it immediately. It’s a no nonsense very nicely flavored marzipan filled chocolate.

This marzipan chocolate has the lovely marzipan taste and consistency that only Niederegger can create. Not too sweet, never a little bitter aftertaste. Marzipan is made from almonds after all. In this case spiced with a little orange-simply delicious!

I purchased a second box of ten hoping the first box was off the mark somehow. Second box, same problem, the marzipan is stale, the chocolate which is quite wonderful in a fresh bar, is stale. Expiration date on cart is November, 2021. Makes me sad because I do love to gift a bar to others on occasion.I discovered these delicious bars at World Market at Christmas time 2020. I have no idea why the quality has been compromised and would love an explanation. Packaging has not changed.
