Don't let price fool you - great center speaker.
I'm impressed with the quality of this speaker. Works perfectly in my 5.1 setup. TV mounted in a large cubby of sorts which allowed me to install directly behind the bottom of the TV so the speaker is out of site (but still ear level when seated watching the TV). Since I had the room, size of this speaker not a problem and the fact it has mounting bracket included is a major plus. Super easy to install! Sounds great! Sounds as good as my Bose VCS-10 used elsewhere. I was surprised.

May be the best center speaker for the money
This is a really nice sounding center channel speaker. I decided to put my basement den to use with a third A/V setup. I had some great old Tannoy speakers for the fronts, some old RCA outdoor speakers for the rears, and I added a Yamaha YST-SW216BL subwoofer, hooked up to an old Tecnics SA-DX1050 and a new LG 50PN6500. I hooked up a Sony BDP-1100 to the tv via hdmi, and used the digital optical out from the tv to the Tecnics. This produces Dolby Pro Logic 5.1. Also hooked a Xbox 360 to the tv via hdmi and also get 5.1, and of course when watching tv on the lg also get dolby 5.1. This speaker totally fit the bill for the center channel. It sounds great, and you can't beat the price. I did not use the wall mount so cannot comment on that.

Great sound!
Clean, clear sound without overtaking or matching the side speakers. If I had known Dayton Audio had so many great speakers I would have just bought a recieved and Dayton Audio speakers rather than a set that came with the reciever. Huge upgrade and not a huge price.

Amazing Center Channel
The build of this center channel is great. The sounds that come out are crispy and clean. I love the dual 4 inch midwoofers with a 1 inch tweeter and the super Piezo tweeter. It add great sound at low volume and at loud volume it sounds better. The build structure of it is very well-made. Love the terminals on the speaker they used to so you can use banana plugs if you want something a little bit more. I like the curved look of the speaker. Give more of a aesthetic to it and as well sound distribution. For me one of the best center channel speaker made right now.

great speaker for low price!
I bought the dayton ccs33b speaker to function as a center speaker for 5.1 surround system and to replace a poor quality center speaker that was included in an RCA system. The dayton speaker has great clarity and functions well. Please note that I am not a audio guru and our 5.1 system is largely composed of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers from lowes. The dayton is a great addition though and would highly recommend it!

This was required to fit the available opening in an IKEA Besta cabinet
Really surprised and pleased with these! They do sound neutral and strike a great balance between furniture maker aesthetics and sound quality. Added the SAT-BK satellites and SUB-1000 to conjoin with the Boston Acoustics Horizon Series mains also with a spec of 89db@1 watt efficiency. This solved a problem of limited (less than 5" height) mounting options in an otherwise great console style cabinet. The smaller size and incredible price point won over ego and brand loyalty. Also listen to Energy XT and Klipsch Reference HT systems.

ok for price
Bought this center channel based on price, reviews and size/weight thinking it would be easy to mount and sound acceptable w/ other components in my system (Polk towers for fronts, Polk bookshelfs, Insignia Bookshelfs, Sony High powered ES class receiver..) the main plus to this speaker is it's light and wall mountable.Negatives: the bracket that came with it is less than user friendly when it comes to mounting properly, no access holes in it to get a good hole alignment when drilling/punching drywall holes so you got to be a little bit of a layout artist and hope for the best.... and have proper size wall anchors and uncommonly big headed screws (not supplied..) which i happened to have just enough of. for the size/weight of the speaker i can't complain on sound, if your system is anything like mine though i would suggest you look for a center upwards of $100 price range though and if you have to wall mount, find a solution to make it work and move forward, i'm not one that thinks every speaker in your home theater has to be from the same brand, that's ridiculous, any receiver worth keeping has adjustments (distance, spkr size etc..) to let you get spkrs tuned in to the others as long as they are comparable in size, sound and quality. Owning a smaller (under-matched) center makes me wonder what having a big center w/ smaller towers and med. bkshelfs w/ sub would sound like, probably pretty good (when running in 5.1 / 7.1) and yes as one would think of a center this size, you get no bass to speak of despite product description claims.
