Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR/ HS55EXR 16MP Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD (Black)

I have had this camera for sixteen months. It is excellent. The zoom range 22mm to 1,000mm is terrific. Of all the superzoomCameras I own, around twelve, this on fits my hand the best. It has been on three cruises. It has visited four countries and ten national parks.The EXR automation chooses the best settings. All I have to do is point it, zoom to the framing I want and push the button. In order to take the shots I get, my relatives carry really heavy nikons and canons with cases of extra lenses. This camera now costs twice as much as when I bought it in September 2015. Buy one if you can.

I have downgraded my rating 1 for two reasons.Reason 1: the camera in movie mode does not work as advertised. When using MOVIE mode the MANUAL FOCUS it still goes in and out of focus sometimes never re-focusing. So considering the camera has two basic modes, still and movie, and one of the two doesn't work as advertised in the user manual this camera is a failure. I sent it in for service and it came back worse than before.Reason 2: I emailed FUJIFILM customer service on 5/23/2014, 12/30/2014, 01/17/1015 and 03/02/2015. Each time I received and automated reply but NEVER a reply from a person. There is no phone number to call for customer service.I have been a Fuji camera user for 15 years. and this is my third camera. Given the above NON response it will be my last.

All is perfect, it's ok

I have used my Hs50 exr for over a year. This is a great camera with quick manual zoom and fantastic pictures. It is easy to use and pictures look clear and superb even at high zoom.. The rechargeable battery lasts for almost 600 pictures because the manual zoom saves energy. But i would hate an electronic zoom. I researced many other brands and remain thrilled with this camera. It may not have the best video recorder but i notice no problems and i can video with my phone. I still believe this camera has best features and quality for the money.
