My Fair Wedding: Finding Your Vision . . . Through His Revisions!

AS INTERESTING THE PROGRAM IS - MY FAIR WEDDING IS ON OCCASION, I TEND TO WONDER IF ALL THE BRIDES HE CREATES VISION FOR HAVE NO CLUE FOR WEDDINGS FROM A-Z, AND/OR HE JUST REFINES IT AND OBVIOUSLY CREATES MORE ELEGANCE NO MATTER WHAT THE THEME.I ACTUALLY WROTE TO HIM WHEN PLANNING MY 25TH ANNIVERSARY AND HE NEVER RESPONDED, THOUGH I DO HAVE SOME INTERIOR DESIGNAND PRO BONO FREELANCE EVENT PLANNING BACKGROUND. AMAZINGLY PRESTON BAILEY ACTUALLY DID RESPOND AND I IMPROVISED ON HISAND SOME OF DONALD TRUMP'S WEDDING DECOR FOR THE RENEWAL OF VOWS WEDDING AND RECEPTION. IT WAS HOWEVER, DISHEARTENING NEVERTHELESS, THAT MR. TUTERA DID NOT RESPOND IN ANY FORM OR FASHION. MY INITIAL THINKING WAS HE WAS EITHER TOO SNOBBY AND DIDN'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED, OR I WASN'T HIS TYPE OF CLIENTELE. I WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTED IN HIS TAKE ON WHAT I ENVISIONED AND PERHAPS EXCEEDED.THE BOOK I HAD EXPECTATIONS OF BEING SIMILAR TO PRESTON BAILEY'S AND/OR EVEN COLIN COWIE FOR THE DECOR. THIS BOOK ACTUALLYSEEMED TO BE A NARRATIVE PRINTED VERSION OF THE PROGRAM IN A SENSE. I HOPED TO SEE MORE OF THE DECOR, PERHAPS THE GOWNS AND ACCESSORIES,VENDORS, ETC., NOT SO MUCH VERBAGE. I WILL PROBABLY KEEP IT FOR MY REFERENCE LIBRARY FOR EVENT PLANNING, BUT DID FIND IT SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTING BY COMPARISON OF THE AFOREMENTIONED AUTHOR AND BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS OF THE LAVISH DECOR. SIMILAR DESIGNS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH SOME RESOURCEFULNESS AND I HAD AN AWESOME FLORAL DESIGNER AT ANY RATE.I READ THAT MR. TUTERA PRIMARILY DOES ALL THAT PLANNING FOR VIRTUALLY NOTHING, AND SUPPOSEDLY PAID FOR BY TELEVISED NATIONAL COVERAGE OF THE VENDORS ? WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW THE REAL DEAL AND IF THE CLIENTS CONTRIBUTE ANY DOLLARSTHEY HAD ALLOCATED FOR THEIR EVENT ?.

I love My Fair Wedding and as a not girly girl that is saying something!I have never been the type to look at wedding magazines or even think and make plans about my wedding, but I know I do want to get married one day and I want it to magnificent, magical and memorable. I have no idea how to make this happen though, ha ha ha.After watching the "behind the scenes" of My Fair Wedding, unveiled, I made my first decision about my wedding - I have to have David Tutera be my wedding planner, I need him to help me when the time comes because I will need it and he is a wonder at making dreams come true and then surpassing them!I had to buy this book because I wanted to have the first step in the process set in motion - even before having a prospective husband, lol.Great read, good pictures (if you watch the show you will see familiar faces), and wonderful tips!Thank you David!!! I am a huge fan of David Tutera and have been following his show "My Fair Wedding" from the beginning. This book features wonderful photography of some of the memorable weddings featured on the show along with fun information about each wedding and tips and advice from David. This book is very useful if you need inspiration for your cake, floweers or decor. It is also good if you were particularly impressed with one of the featured weddings because it offers close up photography, quick summaries and useful tips.This book is not as invaluble to me as David Tutera's "Big White Book of Weddings" but I am so glad I own it for the photos of the decor and flowers. Additionally, it has helped my fiance and me communicate about some of our ideas, likes and dislikes. And the fact that this book has helped us to work better together has made planning our wedding day less stressful for both of us is! I definitely recommend this product!

The book came in great condition and it was exactly what I thought it would be. I love the price I paid for the book. I will continue to purchase books from Amazon.my fair Wedding by David Tutera is the best book I've read about wedding planning thus far. I will recommend it to other wedding planners I meet.Before I purchased the book I wanted to know what David was like and how much information he put into his planning of weddings.Now that I've read the book and looked at all the great pictures I am so excited about using some of the ideas I read about in the book. After reading this book, I have been drawn to find the TV show that David Tutera has. I was amazed to see the show and it made me feel like I was there in person with him as he met with all the brides.

First off, I am a huge fan of the show My Fair Wedding, and was super excited when I saw this book. The book is very insightful and does a good job of mixing a review of the specific episodes and peppering in ways to make your own wedding super special. I really love the fact that they put in so many different pictures from each event. Specifically close up versions of things we only glimpsed in the show.My one and only complaint was that it didnt cover every episode of the show but I can make due with the few that it did! I just wish that it had included my favorite bride "Candy Bride"! Her's was truly the best of them all!

I love, love, love David Tutera. His television show "My Fair Wedding" is often tender and sometimes funny. Often I find myself cracking up laughing when the bride describes her dream wedding to David and it is obvious that he thinks it is tacky, tacky, tacky.Planning my daughter's wedding has been a joy with help from this book and David's TV show. My major complaint about this book is that there are not more photos.

I'd already watched his show My Fair Wedding and seen his website and then I purchased this book. I'd seen all but one of the weddings so I knew a lot of it but what was nice is that he put in personal notes on the couple and their wedding and let them put in personal notes and then interspersed tips throughout the book on planning your own wedding and what he would do in certain situations. He has good taste and seems to be able to plan parties around most themes turning them into elegant celebrations vs. strange ideas. A good read with great pictures!

Lovely book with plenty of content to read. However it could do with more pictures of bridal dresses, flowers, favours etc. Some of the pictures relate to the brides shown on his program. The book has plenty of tips for a bride planning her wedding. Good price as well.

This is a Great book I love it! Tips are also useful. It will give you lots of lovely ideas.

this is a useful book for planning a wedding with style. there are lots of hints and tips about food, stationary and the like. recommend for all brides to be whatever the wedding budget.
