Harry Potter et les Reliques de la Mort: Harry Potter 7

I am learning French and bought the Harry Potter books to supplement my textbook and the language-learning apps I put on my phone. So far, just from flipping through the pages, I know that it will be both rewarding and challenging to learn Harry Potter through the lense of another language and culture.

I'll attempt to be constructive about the price at the end of this review, but first, let me say that the translation is perfectly done. I enjoyed this book thoroughly in French, just as I had in English. Indeed, reading it in French gave me a new perspective on the book, and at certain points the translation, such as the name translations, represents the characters just as well (and in a more comical light) than those unfamiliar with the Latin bases of J.K.'s English names will realize. That being said, definitely pick this title up if you're looking to extend the magic of the series through reading it in French.As for the price, $75 is indeed steep. But let me suggest this: order the title off of Amazon.fr or Amazon.ca (Canada). Depending on where you live, you will have to pay a decent shipping price, but I guarantee it will be less than $75. Enjoy!

Fantastic book

Très pratique pour voyager. Etant une grande fan de la saga, j’ai encore plus apprécié lire les livres que de regarder les films. C’est une écrivaine magnifique!

I bought this book in nearly mint condition (one barely noticeable bend in the cover) for 22,95€.I can't really judge the French translation as I'm using the book to learn French and I'm not versed enough in the language to assess the style of writing. So far it's a pleasant read though.

Simply loved all the Harry Potter series! Was recommended to me by my daughter who has read them twice and is a number one fan. I now understand how they grip a young mind's imagination. Books are very well written and will blow your mind! A must read for the young and not so young!
