This book is SUCH FUN!
This book is absolutely fabulous!! I had the added joy of hearing it read by the author. Miranda Hart has to be one of the funniest people EVER. This book is "such fun", and I cannot recommend it more highly! I was often stared at when I had it playing when out in public because most people might assume that I was listening to music through my headphones. But, I was actually listening to her read her delightful book. So it is any wonder that when I would suddenly burst out laughing, that people stared? She would have LOVED it because that is one of the things which happens to her throughout the book. She is in ordinary situations and makes a complete fool of herself, and wonders, "Is it just me?"Well, my dear listener/reader, "it isn't just Miranda". We all find ourselves in situations where, looking back, we can see how that had we had our mouths taped shut with bright shiny pieces of duck tape, we could not have looked more out of place or inappropriately dressed, than we turned out to be by inserting our foot so far into our mouths as it turned out that we did!!I would go so far as to say that I personally might be tempted to refund your money, should you not find this book hysterical!! (Won't actually be able to afford that, as I do like to eat occasionally. Not that you would ever take me up on that offer, but some might try me just to see if I actually would do so. Disclaimer alert)All in all, I will simply say that this book is SUCH FUN!!

So relatable!
Being an adult is hard. And not just things like 401Ks and money and stuff, but everything from vacationing (you can’t always just go to Disneyland anymore) and dating and all kinds of social situations we all have to navigate all the time. One of my favorite things about this book is that Miranda is great at saying, in a funny way, that it’s okay to not be twenty-one anymore. It’s also okay to be a little ridiculous, and not always know what’s going on all the time, and have embarrassing things happen to you, and be a woman who is not a size 2. It’s okay to be a REAL PERSON who makes mistakes and enjoys life and isn’t perfect. That’s why she is such a good role model. This book is Miranda Hart’s memoir/manual for dealing with all the stuff we don’t want deal with as adults. It is written directly to the reader (My dear reader chum, or MDRC) and has frequent interjections from high school Miranda, who doesn’t understand how her life didn’t turn out the way she planned (or email). The dialogue between young Miranda and mature Miranda is great, because we have all wanted to go back and tell ourselves at some time or another “You won’t get your dream job right out of college because you won’t even have figured out what you want to do, and you won’t be married to the man of your dreams, and your parents will still drive you crazy but in a different way, but life will be okay and you’ll be happy!”The illustrations are also fun.

BEWARE--No audio/video for Kindle devices, but a good read
I have not read more than a few pages of this book, so I can't comment on it--although I am sure it is such fun! The "enhanced" Kindle edition with audio/video will not play on any of the Kindle devices or on your computer. Read the fine print and see that the video is only available for iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touch devices. I explained to Amazon customer service that "Enhanced Kindle Edition" connotes something being able to be played on the Kindle device.I would have bought the book anyway, but they promote it as this super terrific version with audio and video and fireworks, then you discover that the goodies are being held prisoner by Apple.I will add more to my review after I read the book. But I thought it very important to make Kindle owners aware. Thanks!UPDATE: I have started reading the book, and thus far, it is very funny. I am upgrading my rating to 4 stars--it would be 5 stars, except for the audio/video problems. I have issues with letting things go, so maybe at some point in future when this doesn't sting so much, I will upgrade my rating to 5. Thanks! :-)

Such Fun!!
I absolutely love Miranda Hart and this book was wonderful. It was funny and moving and refreshingly candid. I had a wonderful time listening to her read it and if you've ever watched her show "Miranda" then you can picture her perfectly as she does. I never leave reviews on anything but I can't express enough just how much fun she is not only in this book but in everything else she's done as well. Thank you Miranda Hart for being exactly who you are. No it isn't just you. There is a whole world of us out there who struggle with the most basic things and it's so refreshing to just have a laugh about it. I love you. I'm certain we would be great friends if we ever had a chance to meet and drink tea and eat sweat muffins. Not savory ones! And of course go galloping down the street enjoying life. Life is too short not to gallop. Life eh? ❤️

The book is sometimes a re-run of what her comedy show was
I loved that she explains her troubles she encountered with the world. Her issues with social norms and gender roles is something I appreciate sincerely. However, some of the story lines are repeats of story lines in her comedy sketches (which I love dearly). I was hoping for new story lines that would make me laugh and split my pants but not many were had if you already watched her shows. This is still a better book that Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Thank you Miranda for being you!

This book was fantastic. It felt just like having a conversation with Miranda Hart, and that was truly something! She has such an amazingly witty humor, with that child like innocence and yet pointy accuracy, I found myself turning the pages without noticing and hours going by :)A very recommended read!
