Most of the ones I used are better than this one quite frankly
I have been practicing calligraphy for a while, and tried different brushes made with different materials. Most of the ones I used are better than this one quite frankly. The main problem of this brush is the weight. The brush end of this brush is too light, thus makes it harder to stable your strokes while doing calligraphy. The overall quality of this brush is alright, I could imagine someone using it for drawing. However, unless you are a master calligrapher who can write well with anything, there are other options you can choose from.

High quality watercolor brush
High quality, holds lots of pigment and water. Brush appears well made and comes in a nice presentation box.

this was better than the Brush 1 (which was total garbage) but ...
I bought two brushes, this one and the Brush 1. I am an intermediate level calligrapher and for me, this was better than the Brush 1 (which was total garbage) but I still would not call this a master level brush for calligraphy- it wasn't even good enough for me!! Especially for the high price... the workmanship just isn't there. The brush hairs were too stiff, and the hairs fell out constantly (and I only used it for 2 days).
