Language barrier and VERY SLOW shipping. I paid extra for express and it took 2 weeks for them to put the box in the mail. I asked for an English translation of the owners manual / instructions for use and received a terse translation of the buttons on the device. I LOVE THE COOKER! Works well and is easy to clean.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought this for my teardrop trailer because I love camp cooking and one of the issues was cooking rice. I could never get it to correct texture and cleanup was difficult with my stainless steel camping pots. I tried bringing cooked rice and streaming it but it never tasted as good and took about 20 minutes for a small portion and required using and cleaning two pots. I finally looked up DC rice cookers and found this little joy. At first I was turned off by the price but after I looked going a $20 cheap rice cooker and a $40 inverter it was almost the same price and inverting loses at least 5 percent of power during the conversion.One thing to note is that it does eat some power so I'm probably only going to cook rice with this in the afternoon when the sun is high and my solar panels can recharge for the evening. I didn't time the cooking but I believe it was around 20-30 minutes. Also you don't want to eat the rice right away when the light turns back to green. You want to let it sit for about 10 minutes. Instructions are in Japanese but it's pretty easy to figure out. Green is on, red is cooking. Also, be careful of the steam port. And when you wash the machine becareful of getting water in the openings underneath and the DC port.Shipping was from Japan, but it came in a week! Super fast! I was very surprised how quick it was and the seller left a thank you card from Japan with some Japanese tea. Very cool!I only tested it once at home with my trailer but I'll update after I go camping and use it.UPDATE:Camping for two nights with my daughter and the rice cooker worked great! I used the rice cooker only in the afternoon while I had the most sun to ensure my battery would last the evening for my fridge. The rice was perfect every time except when I left the rice plugged in until dinner. That evening the rice was dry at the top because it was on the warmer for so long. next time I know to unplug if I'm going to leave the rice in for a few hours. To clean the rice cooker I just used water and my fingers and my little bit of soap to clean the non-stick surface then I rinsed making sure not to get water in electrical areas.

It's really good though it's expensive , it's worth considering you can cook anywhere ..,

I am SO GLAD I bought this instead of another one I was looking at. 100w is the average draw, so if you cook a little pot of rice, (4 of the cups that comes with the pot) and add equal water you have 340 calories of rice each for two people, not to mention it is cooked absolutely perfectly. Total watts used about 45...YOU CANNOT BEAT THAT. Off-grid rice cooker for the win!!!

It worked once in my Mini Cooper. Then I tried to use it in my brand new Mini Countryman. The cooker's car adapter blew a fuse; no worries, it came with a higher voltage fuse. Tried that then blew the fuse in my car. Now I'm stuck with a cooker and cannot find another adapter for the odd connection.

I got this rice cooker for my husband so he can heat up his lunch and it works very well. Loving it.

キャンプや車中伯時の車中食の為に、ワクヨさん、タケルくん、ムスヨ婆さんの3商品を同時購入しました。当初はカップラーメンだけを食べる為にワクヨさんのみの購入予定でしたが、やはりご飯も食べたいので購入に至りました。自分の使い方は、面倒な調理や食器や器具の洗いをしない事に決めました。車中泊の場合は、炊事場が有るとは限りません。道の駅等ではトイレしかないです。トイレで調理器具や食器を洗ったりなどは出来ません。ですので、ご飯を炊いたり、鍋物を作ったりはしません。電子レンジの様に温めるだけです。主に、常温で日持ちのするライスパックやレトルトを温めます。小型のパンやおにぎりなどは、ムスヨ婆さん付属の丸タッパーに入れて温めます。肉が欲しい時は、焼き鳥などの缶詰をそのまま入れれば良いです。ライスパックとレトルトを温める時は、ムスヨ婆さん付属の鉄スノコを敷いて、タケルくんの計量カップ１杯の水(100cc)を入れ、30分炊飯モードで蒸してみました。30分なら完全に温まっています。水を半分にして、時間をもっと短縮しても完全に温まるかもしれません。蒸し器として使う場合は、30分以上経過しても、自動的に保温モードに成りませんので注意が必要です。ちなみに横幅のやや狭いライスパックとレトルトなら、２人分を同時に温めることができます。調理なしのパックやレトルトを温めるだけなので、面倒な後始末はありません。器具はタオル等で水分を拭き取るだけです。皿は、ライスパック容器の上にレトルト具材をスプーンで少量づつ掬ってかけるか、紙皿を使用すれば、ゴミ袋にそのまま捨てれます。スプーンは、ウェットティッシュなどで拭いて綺麗にします。カレーなどの匂いが強くて、とろみが強いものは、車内に匂いが充満しますので、極力避けます。牛丼、親子丼、中華丼、麻婆丼、ビーフシチュー、ソーセージ、ハンバーグ、スパゲッティ、焼きそばなどが良いでしょう。ポータブル電源のPS5Bの電力計では103Wの消費電力で、30分加熱した場合の残り容量計は3/5でした。タケルくん＆ムスヨ婆さんは、単に炊飯器としてだけでは無く、蒸し器や保温器としても使用出来ます。蒸し饅頭の為の鉄スノコや、温野菜・しゅうまい・肉に適した鉄トレイや、麺類・煮込み・スープなどに適したガラス蓋をムスヨ婆さんのセットとしてオプション販売しています。他の炊飯器にはない特徴を備え、アイデアを生かせる幅広い調理法に対応していて、非常におすすめの調理器具です。

コンビニでおにぎり毎日買って１万円超えてたの止めました。ちょっと大きめの段ボールに入れて運転中に車内でほとんど毎日炊いてます。無洗米とペットボトル水常時車内に積んであり。洗うのは霧吹きシュッシュッしペーパータオルで拭き取りお米水入れ炊く準備。魔法瓶のお湯でインスタント味噌汁、フリカケ、熱々に生卵納豆…。夜米水入れ準備、朝通勤時炊き会社で朝御飯の時もあり、外回りの時は昼食用に準備。１時間前に通電。毎日、ホッカホッカ御飯超簡単。水はちょっと多めで炊いてます。

数回純正のシガーソケットで使用したところ、複数の問題が発生1.　炊けるまでの時間が長くなった。2.　ちゃんと炊けず、ビチャビチャor芯が残る3.　シガーソケットが触れないほど熱くなり焦げるような異臭がする調べたところ、純正のシガーソケットだとスペックギリギリの電流が常時流れる状態らしく端子のマイナス側が接触不良や発熱するとのことで、改善方法としてはネット検索で1.シガーソケットを開けて、マイナス側を確りと付け直す2.純正のシガーソケットから付け替えるの2つがあり、私は2を選択オートバックスで【エーモン 電源プラグ No,1537 DC12V/24V120W以下】と【ギボシ端子】を購入し純正のシガーソケット部分とコードの部分をバッサリと分断してコードをギボシ端子でエーモンプラグと接続したところ、常に同じ時間で炊きムラもなく、ソケットも熱くならずにちゃんと炊ける様になりました。

お米の炊き加減には全く不安は無いのですが、私が一番不安なのはプラグの接触具合いです。ハッキリ言ってスカスカのユルユル!この状態で炊飯時は110W、およそ6Aの電流が流れます。壊れずに何回使えるか、今から心配です。

タケルくん 購入して 箱を開けたら箱の中にネジが落ちてました…最終検査ぐらいしてほしいです 製品として自信のある物を送ってきてください。まだ使ってないので使用できるか近々 確かめてみます
