SiruiG-10 G10X G Series Ball Head

This is smooth as butter. I absolutely love it. Others have mentioned that you can just adjust it to where you would like it, and let go, and it stays. No more aiming just past your objective, then hoping it bounces back to the right place.I also love that I have never felt the need to lock it down completely. It stays put at a moderate tension, but still will move fluidly if you need to adjust the camera.This beats the stuffing out of my pistol grip trigger head.All metal body, feels very premium.The only strange thing is the quick release, but it works, just not how I'm used to. (Your piece doesn't "click" into place, it clicks onto a sliding plane, then you have to tighten it down from there) - however, not enough of a concern to remove a star.I'm looking forward to years of use with this little guy :)

The ball head pans very smoothly and feels like a "quality piece of equipment." Personally, I wouldn't trust it to support more than fifteen pounds at an orientation other than horizontal or vertical, but I doubt that I'll ever need to support more than ten pounds. It feels sturdy with my Canon 80D with a 100-400mm or 28-300mm zoom lens. I deducted a star because it arrived with a warranty card and instructions in Chinese only, suggesting that I have no US warranty.

This nice little bullhead fits well on Induro CLT004 Stealth tripod legs. I really like the safety pin system. You just loosen the Arca Swiss style quick release clamp slightly, press the red button, and slide the quick release plate out of the clamp. With other Arca systems you have to loosen the clamp enough to tip the plate up and out of the clamp, which works fine, but I like the system better. I use this with a Fuji X-T1 and with a Nikon d7000 with an 18-200mm lens. It holds these cameras firmly and locks without the downward slip that less well designed bullheads exhibit. Overall well made and good value.

this is a good tripod head for light weight cameras. well matched to travel tripods. also good for spotter scopes and the like. I use professional heads for my larger gear, but this small head has many of those pro head features at a much lower cost. I'm impressed!!

I'm really happy with this ball head. I bought it to replace the head on my MeFoto Roadtrip tripod because it wouldn't stablize my 70-300mm lens. When I saw how small this head was I was afraid it wouldn't do the job but big surprise...it works perfectly! I don't experience the slow downward drift of my camera with the heavy 70-300mm lens that I had with the MeFoto head. This ball head is secure and the release plate really locks in tight.

It a nice compact head that fits well with my travel/hiking tripod. Smooth operation and looks well made. However, its max load rating (18kG or approx 39 Lbs) is really questionable. After a quick test putting my D800 with 70-200mm f/2.8 lens on and tried to lock it at 45 degree angle, apparently this head really struggle to hold this setup. I end up returning it and replaced with larger head.

Bought this to go with my Sirui tripod. Nicely built ball head. Works with my Peak Designs capture pro Arca/Swiss plate. All movements are smooth without any rubbing or grinding. Overall a little pricey for an off brand, but works well. I would buy it again.

An excellent, high quality ball head, especially for smaller DSLR's and the full range of mirrorless cameras. Fully featured, with dual ball head drag controls and graduated panning function (great for panoramic photos) with smooth operating pan lock. The included Arca Swiss clamp and plate is among the finest I've encountered, with a pin lock feature (which should be standard on all Arca Swiss systems) to prevent accidentally releasing or dislodging the plate and attached camera or lens (a catastrophe of the first order!)

A very high quality product, with a very smooth ball action.This is probably better engineered than needed, but it's nice these days to find a sample of German quality. Okay, you can buy a Chinese knock-off for £25 and it will do the job, but you will probably only need one of these for your photographic bag, so why not get the best.I'm using it with their P326 carbon fibre monopod, which is supporting my Sony A7rII + Zeiss Otus 85mm. This weighs in at about 2kgm, but this ball head would easily handle much more.

Lots of options and positions for the camera. Easy to attach to the tripod. Durable and stable.

Nun, dass dieser Stativkopf der Firma Sirui ein sehr guter ist, brauche ich hier nicht weiter zu erwähnen.Für schwerere Kameras mit einem größeren Zoomobjektiv ist der G-10X aber nicht die richtige Wahl. Ich habe eine Kamera mit Batteriegriff (1100gr) mit einem Tamron 70-300mm (790gr) montiert. Hier zeigt sich deutlich die Grenze des Kopfes, denn trotzdem sowohl der Friktionsknopf und der Feststellknopf festgedreht wurden, bewegt sich der Kugelkopf zu leicht und der Bildausschnitt verschiebt sich immer wieder.Hier kann ich nur die größere Version G-20X empfehlen. Dieser ist auch durch größere Gewichte nicht zu erschüttern und nur ein paar Euro teurer !!!

Ich bin mit dem Material und der Anmutung glücklich, nur stelle ich fest das das Gewicht was dieser Kugelkopf eigentlich tragen sollte nur dann erreicht wird wenn man ihn richtig fest anbrummt und das sollte nicht Sinn davon sein. Ich erwarte eigentlich eine kurze Drehung und dann sollte der Kugelkopf nicht mehr die Position verändern.Zumal finde ich die Drehverschlüße nicht gerade griffig, wenn es draußen kalt ist und ich Handschuh anhabe bekomme ich sie nicht mehr zu fassen.Hier kann man deutlich nachbessern und sollte dies gegenüber der Konkurrenz auch tun.Mäßig zufrieden.

Non posso fare paragoni con altre teste, essendo la prima che possiedo, ma non riesco ad immaginare come altre possano essere migliori di questa.Leggera e molto robusta, regge pesi che non arriverò mai ad utilizzare, ma ho visto prove in rete in cu vengono montati senza problemi 500mm senza cedimenti. Per un uso più amatoriale credo sia l'ideale.L'attacco è un po' più macchinoso di uno sgancio rapido, ma nettamente più sicuro e in definitiva lo preferisco così.Arriva in una confezione accurata, con un sacchettino in neoprene per il trasporto.Spedizione in 36 ore, Amazon è così :)
