Eloise At Christmastime

I received the book Eloise at Christmastime when I was 6 years old, in 1962. It quickly became my very favorite Christmas book, next to the Nativity story. Who couldn't love a girl of similar age, with good intentions but causing pandemonium, while trying to spread Christmas cheer throughout the Plaza Hotel? Sofia Vassilieva is the perfect Eloise - spunky, funny, over-the-top, and doing everything with an irrepressible Eloise flourish. Julie Andrews is spot-on as Nanny, who couldn't, couldn't, couldn't have been better cast. While the movie adds a narrative not found in the book, Eloise At Christmastime, the spirit of the book is well-captured. The Plaza staff and management, everyone from Max the Elevator Operator to Mr. Salomone the General Desk Manager, seems to have leapt out of the pages of the book, looking uncannily like Hilary Knight's illustrations. Walter the Concierge, Vincent the Barber, Patrice the Chef, they're all here. And course, the Plaza Hotel, in all its grandeur. No spoilers here, just sit back and enjoy. Kids of all ages will have trinkles and sklinkles of fun, guaranteed. I know after watching you'll want to "Jingle Here, Jingle There, Jingle Christmas Everywhere!"

I loved this movie as a kid and couldn't find it on any streaming service so I ordered the dvd. The movie did not disappoint and was just as good as I remembered it. Perfect for a family movie night!

10/10 great Christmas movie for the family.

Favorite dvd to watch while relaxing at bedtime. It arrived quickly and safely. Was not a costly film. To be treasured for years.

We love Eloise and had to buy this as the free version was taken off of prime during November and we wanted to watch it so we bought it. Watch it all year round it’s great.

I had a copy of this DVD somewhere but can't find it so I bought one for myself and my daughter for her daughters to watch for Christmas. Now we can both watch them and continue to make memories.

Our family looks forward to watching this every year! It's fun for ALL age and a sweet and fun movie. Wish they would make it available to purchase via streaming.

Le colis a mis un peu plus de temps à arriver que prévu (peut être à cause de la douane ?) mais il est en bon état et tout fonctionne parfaitement. Je suis très contente :) merci beaucoup.

Una pelicula muy entretenida. Me hubiera gustado localizar las otras de la misma serie, pero no consigo saber si van o no subtituladas en castellano.Si pueden ustedes informarse o informarme de si las otras de Eloise son subtituladas en español, me gustaría comprarlas.Espero sus noticias
