Sound Hole, Black, inch (KP1BL)

This is my second kickPort purchase. I love the sound of an unported bass drum but when you’re gigging and have a different PA, bass drum mic or sound-man every other show these really are a great “equalizer” for your bass drum. It helps smooth out the differences you encounter in various venues and definitely boosts both the bass frequencies and the punchiness of the drum. I have these in both a 16” and an 18” bass drum. They can even get too punchy if you have a really heavy foot but easy enough to back off. Also allows you to significantly decrease the amount of dampening material inside the bass drum. I use a couple of 12”x12” 1 inch foam sound panels most of the time. No pillow or blankets needed.

I have always used Kickport with all of my kits. Gotta have that hole for the mic, why not get some serious punch at the same time?! Well, that’s what I do. I highly recommend this Kickport for all recording or non recording drummers. Especially in a large venue, it really projects your bass. I have this paired with a 14x24 DW Bass drum and it is a sick boom and deep bass that is created by this little bugger. I think it’s super easy to install, if you’re new to it.... It works very well. As installed it was , for my genre, " Too much of a good thing" BUT It was super easy to adjust to a happy place. I will add the port to my other drumsets for sure. it is another element of adjustment that is well worth it

The kickport adds depth and tone to your bass drum sound. I do not use any pillows, pads or anything inside my bass drum and with the Kickport I get a focused fat sound that can be both felt and heard. Its a must have and makes a great gift for the drummer in your life.

Solid improvement in bass response and it looks cool to boot! Installed very easily on my Evans EQ3 reso head as it already has the 5" hole - didn't have to make it any bigger to fit the kickport

I like to have this kind of helper for my kick drum, I am very satisfied with the sound I get from it. By the way, I have 2 of them for my 2 drum sets.

I'm telling you, these are great! Lowers the fundamental tone of the bass drum and improves projection. A real pleasure to hear the bass drum from sitting behind the kit, too! Buy it!

I was thinking about buying a mixer to hook up my bass to a speaker to get just a little more of the bass sound. Thankfully someone mentioned the kickport to me....sounds deep and loud...no need to hook up my bass to speaker....for the type of playing I do...indoor.
