Best little air cleaner on the market
Best part is you don’t have to buy replacement filters, the main filter is hard bodied and can be removed, cleaned and reused many many times. I have 2 of these for about 5 years, they work great.. low noise level, cleans the air and no continuous cost for filters. Will buy again and again.

I can breathe!
My only gripe is that I waited so long to get one of these. Three stars for myself on that one.I've got dogs. Two nasty, lovable dogs who shed their body weight in hair and dander approximately every twenty minutes. So my house, despite my best efforts, is pretty dusty all the time. Throw that in with pollen season, and it's just hard to breathe sometimes. Every night, from about February to May, for as long as I can remember, I have to sleep sitting up if I want to get any sleep at all. This is no way to go through life, but all the pills and NyQuils and whatever else haven't helped me a bit, so I was resigned to only getting seven months of decent sleep every year. Then I bought this, and it's changed everything for the better.Firstly, and most obviously: I can breathe at night. And not just the one-nostril-works-and-I'm-glad-to-have-that-much that I might have lucked out and gotten every once in a while before, but full-on two nostrils like nature intended breathing. It's those little things that you take for granted that you miss the most when they're gone. When I look at the filters and see just how much stankum this thing is catching, that I had been inhaling before, I get a little ill. Just being able to breathe at night is worth the price of admission. But that's not all.Everything in the bedroom isn't covered with an inch of dust after two days anymore. Not that anyone ever sees the bedroom but my wife and I, but still. Not much will make you think you're reliving the Dust Bowl like a film of dust over everything in sight, all the time. This has helped tremendously. It won't save you from ever having to dust again, but it won't have to be an everyday task anymore. So that's been nice.I keep it in the bedroom and it does a really good job in there, and it's a decent-sized room, roughly 18x20 with ten-foot ceilings. With the ceiling fan running as well, it seems like all the air gets circulated through rather than just having a pocket of clean air right around the air cleaner. With it running at night, it's sort of a white noise machine too - not too loud, but loud enough to drown out little noises. And that's running in "normal" mode, setting #2. The "sleep" setting, #1, doesn't seem to be quite enough in my bedroom. When I first got it, for the first week or so, it emitted a pretty strong ozone smell when it was running. That was pretty annoying, but it stopped doing that soon enough, and now the air is delightfully odor-free. And that's without using the included charcoal odor-eliminating filter, which you might use if you had a cat or were in the cheese-making business or something. I don't know. I wish I could get another one of these and run it in the rest of the house, but the floorplan is open and there's just too much air volume for one of these to work out there. But I'm still pleased with its performance in the bedroom (that's what she said) and highly recommend it.

Very Quiet yet very powerful!
I just purchased this air filter so, I can't provide a thorough review of the product at this time. However, I wanted to make a couple of comments based on my immediate experience:This purifier is very quiet and even on the highest setting, it's very tolerable. No rattling thus far. I have this in my office and its not distracting. I could easily run this on low and sleep with it.This purifier is very powerful and it truly does draw in airborne particles from all angles. ( I checked it with a flashlight)The size is great and I like that it's a tower. However, I didn't think to ask about where the air flow exits which is causing me some grief because I can't put it in the corner of the room as planned unless I want to clean the air in the corner of the room! The air flows in through the back of the machine and out of the front. I have it near the corner of the room now but, I had to turn the machine so that the back is facing into the room and the air is blowing toward the wall. I'm not real happy about how it looks but it's not horrible. I'm more concerned that the air is hitting the wall and blowing back out around the machine, preventing proper intake flow. I lit a cigarette so that I could check the flow and it seems 'ok' but I know it would be much better if I could place this in a less restrictive space. My office is small and I can't have this sitting in the middle of the room. Not sure if others have had this same issue but if anyone has any ideas on how to situate this machine, please share. The oscillator feature greatly improves the machine's effectiveness. So far, I'm considering purchasing two more IF I can situate them properly in each room and if this one continues to perform well. That's all for now!UPDATE: May 4 2014Permanent filter is easy to clean and dry. I apply a spray cleaner and use the sink sprayer to wash it out with hot water. I shake out the excess, blot with paper towels and then use my hair dryer to dry it thoroughly. It takes about 15 mins to wash and dry. Ideally, it would be nice to have an extra replacement filter. The charcoal pre-filter trapped a lot of dust and pollen and I have replaced that as well.As far as overall performance, it seems to be working just as well and operating just as quietly as always. I'm still impressed and quite pleased with this machine.
