Poor seal, pops open
Great idea...it’s cheaper then the name brands. Wish it closed better. Had to fix it so it would stay closed. Get what you pay for.

30-40 size barely fit my 50mm objective lens
I had to soak it in hot water to stretch it over my 50mm lens. I guess I need one size bigger

Excellent for what they are...
I now have three pair of Butler Creeks, two sets of Blizzards which are see through and very functional. They aren't the same as Leupold Aluminas but aren't priced as much either. For around $20.00 I bought a pair for my Burris Fullfield II 2-7 X 33mm which sits on a Remington 7600 cabine in 30-06 and couldn't be happier.Love being able to pick up the gun and see through without having to flip anything open for a quick shot. Will be particularly helpful in the woods. To get these to work the way they should, they need to be slipped all the way on the scope. This will help make a tight fit with the lid so they stay closed. Also using Blizzards on a Tract Tekoa HD 4-16x44 BDC scope with a T/C Compass .308. Take time to get the right size.Leupys are great too! Just different...

If there is a better option, it would be hard to imagine
Butler Creek has great customer service. The multiflex rubber/plastic is the best option for snug fitment.Great product.

as good as can be expected for a flip up cover
everyone in the industry knows that these have issues at the hinge / hinge pin. no matter who makes them. there are better designs out there for sure but the expense is exponential !! i just except the shortcomings and be easy with them, ive been using these for 20+ years none have broke yet. just remember that these are barely firecracker proof let alone bomb proof covers lol

Very nice, but won’t stay down
Got correct size for scope, but cap keeps flipping up on its own.

Perfect fit
Well, I ordered 2 of these but only 1 arrived & now having to jump thru hurdles to actually get what I paid for. Is it to hard to count to two items? Must be. Anyway the one review I can give is that it works great, fits snugly n preform as expected. Just wish I had both beings I paid for both.

Depends on what you want to accomplish
I have bought two of these. One for a 9 inch Burris Handgun scope. One for a 10 inch Burris handgun scope. The "caps" on the ends of these are just right for the size of the ends of the scopes. I would not want much bigger, but they are medium to small objectives as they go in scope world. To put them on the 9-inch scope takes some stretching. The 10-inch one takes even more, perhaps bordering on a little too much. But, they go on and they are snug and secure. They protect my lenses absolutely. That is what I bought them for. These guns are strictly range guns. They sit about between range sessions collecting dust. When in the range bag they bang about with other equipment and the lenses are vulnerable to dirt, dust, and whatever else could happen under these circumstances. I don't have to worry about them with these caps on. That is all I wanted to accomplish.Putting these on and taking them off requires a little work and concentration. Nothing I even consider when unpacking for or packing up from a day at the range. If they were to be used on a hunting gun, I would have no problem using the before and after the hunt when equipment is being readied or retired for the day, but would never consider them for use during a hunt. Getting them on and off is just too impractical under those circumstances. So, to summarize, they do exactly what I would want them to do for the situations that I use them for. I could not be happier. Yes, they take a little tugging. But, I am not yet so old or weak that I can't handle it.

The item is a very good idea, but they need to be more size ...
Sizing is not accurate. This is supposed to fit scopes that are 1.50 to 1.59 inches. Mine is 1.57 inches, but the cover is very difficult to put on, and when you do manage to get it on the scope, the cover will not stay closed properly. The item is a very good idea, but they need to be more size specific so the the cover does stay closed without resorting to using electrical or duct tape to keep it shut. I would hate to try to fit it on a 1.59 inch scope.

Fits a wider range of scope diameters than the originals ...
Fits a wider range of scope diameters than the originals. I would never hunt without them. Not silent opening but quiet enough. A quality product that will last a lifetime.
