Bring back the old ones...
I had used the original potters slippery elm for many years. They were consistant and reliable. Never tasted great but thats not relevant because they did the job they're meant to.They then disappeared for a while, presumably for a re-formulation, as they thought/were told they could taste better.Problem is - they taste worse, addititives are not good, and they now produce a chalkie mist when crunche which you inhale and makes you cough. they also seem to be less mucilous (if thats the word) so dont feel as good as producing the protection they are meant to do.Potters - go back to the old formulation. This newer one doesnt work well.

Changed ingredients make this product unpalatable
I loved and relied on Potters Slippery Elm tablets which I found soothing and would suck one or two following meals. However they have changed the ingredients and these taste disgusting. They have maltodextrin, sucralose, flavourings and a lot of other unnecessary ingredients. I much preferred the simply non-sweetened tablets which really helped. Now I’m once agin hunting for a plain slippery elm tablet which I can suck.

Not Potters Slippery Elm tablets
I have succesfully used Potters Slippery Elm tablets to help with reflux issues. Having been unable to purchase these for some time I was delighted to find the Digeston tablets, thinking these to be the same pills in an updated packaging. Sadly they do not appear to be. The Slippery Elm tablets were bland but very effective. These taste very strongly of peppermint and artificial sweeteners. Since I find that peppermint makes my condition worse (and believe me these tablets did!) I am unable to use them. They may work for some but they are not a substitute for the original Potters Herbals Slippery Elm tablets. I would suggest a chewable DGL tablet may be worth trying if your issue is GERD.

Great help
I am so happy these are back in stock. They have more peppermint in than previously but they are the best thing I have found for indigestion and bowel problems. They even help with nausea I have found.
