A Great Experience
This is my second Huion graphics tablet, the first was many years ago and only had a small drawing area. I have also used Wacom and other makes before settling on this purchase. What won me over was the price, and what features you get for that price. To be honest is looked good.My first impressions when opening the package, it looked sleek, the pen felt great in the hand. The surface wasn't too friction free. Installing took a second, well as long as it took to download the driver (Windows 10 Pro, 64bit, 1903 ) from Huion. Simply double clicked, and then plugged the device in and I was away. It was easy, and a quick test showed everything was working, pen pressure and all function keys worked and could be preset within the Huion software. I was also impressed with my first feel of drawing on the tablet, it felt relaxed and pen felt much better than my old Huion pen, which had the weight of a battery added to it. I also quickly tried it on my Android phone, and it simply worked with no messing about. The drawing area is greatly reduced as the phone only recognises a quarter of the drawing area. Now a week or so on, and using many packages from Photoshop CC, Krita, Gimp, Corel, Paintstorm Pro, Autodesk Sketchbook, etc... And I am very pleased, it worked well with them all. Now by all means spend the money on a Wacom tablet, but for this size of drawing area you will be spending much more. And I am hard pushed to see what you get for it. The build quality with Huion is great, as I will admit to dropping mine from the desk at least twice already. Not a crack, split, or mark. I adore all the short-cut keys they are a wonder and you get plenty so you can set them up to do whatever you wish via the Huion software, I am still playing to see what is best for my workflow. The pen itself is very easy to use for hours at a time. Sometimes the tablet is flat on my desk, but sometimes I am holding it and this is equally comfortable. But I could never go back to a smaller tablet now. It only took a few days for this to feel natural and an extension of my creativity. I think I only needed to slightly adjust the pressure within the Huion software slightly to get the full range. Before i have played about for ages until I was happy. I would recommend this to anyone, but if a beginner maybe look for a cheaper option to see if drawing with a graphics tablet is for you. After all this will not make you a better artist.Oh and makes sure you have a lens cloth with you, or one of those two fingered gloves some wear. Finger prints show up like crazy on this. It may not annoy many, but it can get a bit tiresome when you see it looking on your desk looking like it has been groped by a mob of school kids. But that is a tiny negative point.

EDIT: Returned. Slow, jittery, laggy on Mac OS X, OK'ish on Win 10
EDIT: I leave my original review below.I have returned the tablet to Amazon. One reason why I do buy from Amazon is their very generous return window. So thank you.If you use a Mac — desktop, laptop, whichever, I would NOT recommend this Huion tablet. From the start it took a lot of cajoling to get working "properly". (Read my original review down below)Now, after 20 days trying it out, I am abandoning Huion and probably will return to Wacom. More's the pity. The Mac Drivers proved by Huion are a disaster. They need to be rewritten by Huion. Yes, this works on Windows 10 — I tested it! The difference, quite frankly, is light and day.Photoshop performance on the Mac was incredibly slow and the lag made it an unproductive tool. I turned off all smoothing, bare basics Photoshop brushes.A simple lasso tool caused extreme lag!!!!I cannot recommend this Huion tablet — with the current driver — as a workable and productive tool for anyone using a Mac. Or at least, Caveat Emptor! It is back in the box, wrapped up and on the way back to Amazon.*Sigh****************************************ORIGINAL REVIEW:For reference, my previous tablet was a Wacom Intuos 3.I use a Mac Pro, OS 10.14.5Build quality:Fine. As with most products these days, light, plasticky and probably not built to last. Time will tell.Installation:Attached the tablet and downloaded the driver on the Huon website. Installation of the driver was easy and fast…Using it:My initial satisfaction with the HS610 turned sour pretty quickly when I fired up Photoshop and did a few cursory brush strokes. The amount of lag was horrendous. Seriously. I would draw a line with a no frills brush and watch as the stroke caught up… slooooooooow. Rapid fire quick hatching was not possible. This was an unusable state of affairs. I searched online for some answers — Photoshop forums, anywhere… I swapped USB ports, restarted the Mac, uninstalled the driver.I turned on and off smoothing settings, I disabled just about everything recommended.Nothing helped.I have to say on the Huon site there was absolutely no mention of lag issues. So was this a defective unit? My bad luck? This tablet was heading straight back to Amazon. Pronto. And I'd probably go back to over priced Wacom…The firmware update was no help as that is a Windows .exe file. Thanks Huon! How are we Mac users going to update? The solution? Copious amounts of coffee and the Beta driver.I uninstalled the current driver — Driver_14.3.11, then downloaded the BETA driver — Driver_14.4.0.190708(beta) and proceeded with that.Wow! What a difference. It works as it should. Smooth, fast as I need it. Pressure sensitivity all OK.Please Huon, take that driver off of your site. I am sure I am not the only one pulling out their hair because of that.I have only used it for a day now, and so far so good. I'll hopefully get good use out of it and might update my review down the line.Unbeatable on price, that's for sure.

Great value and as good as market leader
Beautifully packaged (nearly up to Apple standards) and well made (though the pen is a bit lightly constructed). Terrific software (I've had 3 x Wacoms over the years and this was better than their very clunky drivers). It's a bit big, which is good and bad - good for precision and bad because you have to move your arm more (smaller tablets are actually generally less tiring to use but this will depend on your usage needs - mine are for Photoshop retouching in detail not sweeping brush strokes). Seems to work at least as well as Wacoms. Tablet is easily rigid enough to use unsupported on your lap. Doesn't have a transparent overlay so can't use for tracing things quite so easily as some others (but I don't need that often). The Android mode is fun but pity it only works over half the area so Kindle Fire HD 10 for example can only be used in portrait not landscape. It connects via micro usb (tablet end) to standard USB A which suits my hardware. Other versions (they make loads of tablets) have USB C I believe. Only downsides are It does not connect wirelessly and fingerprints rather easily. Why pay more? Thoroughly recommended.
