GINSEY INDUSTRIES 4210 My Own Child Shower Head

My daughter has really long hair and washing it can be difficult (two-year-old dramatics). Although this doesn’t suction well to the shower, and my daughter has to stand up because it’s so short, it does the job & gets all the shampoo out of her hair, which I all I could ask for! I wish it was just a little longer, but it works so I’m happy!

We just moved into a rental which had no tub for our two year old. We came across the "My Own Shower" and tried it out. Our 2 year old loves it and is always excited to take showers now. It is so easy to install and the shower comes all the way down to about a 6"/8" from his head.

This was a great starter shower head for my little one. She loved it. We used it for a few years until she outgrew it and then we passed it on to relatives who also used it for a couple of years. I found it a little hard to attach to the shower head but my husband did not. Once it's attached, it's easy to toggle between the kid shower and the regular adult shower. The suction cup that is supposed to keep the fish head in one place would frequently come loose from the shower tile. I'd buy another one if I ever had the need or as a gift.

The idea for this product is great; but the product itself is a little disappointing. This is due to the fact that the tubing that leads from the shower is too short. My daughter was only two years old when I purchased this and it didn't work well with her height. For her small size, the shower head needed to be lower. Of course she loved it so much that she insisted on using it. Another problem I had is that I could never get it attached to the shower securely enough to prevent leaking. Consequently, whenever my daughter took a shower, the water would leak out from the top. In any event, we used this for a few months; it works, but it's not great. I used it just long enough for my daughter to get over her fascination with it. I then went ahead and purchased a regular "adult" handheld shower head that worked much, much better. I should have done that from the very beginning and saved myself a few bucks. Oh well, you live and you learn!

Take the advice and buy the frog feet suction cups with it.100% make it a unable product. We have textured tile in our shower and with the manufacturer cup it wouldn't even try to stick, the frog feet did the trick. Also recommend a diverter, I got the whole thing rigged up in 20 minutes and now we just switch the diverter to go from the main shower to this, and the frog feet means it sticks like glue where I want it my 3 year old twins are terrified of water on their heads. I was able to set this up at chest level, and they are slowly getting used to it and then I'll move it up a bit at a time.

This is by far one of the coolest purchases I've ever made! It makes bathtime easy and fun. Tub water is dirty, you're just washing dirt off and sitting in it. We've always showered the kids instead of baths for that reason. This makes it easier to shower them and get them clean before the tub is filled for playtime. I absolutely love the fact that I can easily un-suction it from the tub wall and rinse out long hair like they do at a salon. I wish the hose was just a tiny bit longer but that's only miniscual compared to the benefits. My kids love it as well because it puts showering at their level! Great purchase for everyone!

I had bought one for my son around 5-6 years ago and when my daughter, who now wants to learn to shower on her own, wanted one I figured it would be just as good as when I bought it the first time. Boy was I wrong!!!! It has absolutely NO suction at all!!! I have other things that are suctioned in our shower so I know it’s not my shower walls! Very disappointed and now have to figure out a way to get it to suction without ruining my shower! Also my daughter is extremely upset! She was soooo excited to have her own little shower! NOT HAPPY

My kids feel like grown ups and were so proud when they could take a shower like us without being soaked or hit harder with water. I love that you can adjust the kids shower head and really brings the spout much lower which is perfect for 3ft or so taller kids. However, you could use it on smaller ones since the pressure is soft and you can move it around. My wife usually leaves house installs to me, but she tackled this one and said it was easy!
