Great product
This is perfect for my ring light and my camera. It holds my light and camera very steardy. It is nor wobbly at all. It is easy to install everything onto it, and it is easy to put away. I think the price is perfect. Shipping was awsome. It came on time, and nothing was damaged. I bought this to use as a stand for my camera and ring light for my youtube channel. I have not did a formal review on my channel YET but you can see the difference from my earlier videos until my more recent videos if you would like to see my youtube channel's name is bubblylioness. I really do recommend this.

Well worth the $!!
Excellent stand thus far. Has done very well for me. Not flimsy at all as I expected it might be for the price. It's not a heavy duty stand for booms but it's also not $150.I use it for flashes mostly and have used it as a camera stand before in a controlled environment without issue.

If you just need some flash unit stands or small LED stands you won't be disappointed. I have brought these stands with me on ...
I've owned a couple of these for years now and while they're extremely each feeling and definitely not the highest quality, they do the job and hold up extremely well after years of use. If you just need some flash unit stands or small LED stands you won't be disappointed. I have brought these stands with me on numerous photo and video shots and have yes to have a problem with them. Unless you're using hefty lights or giant softboxes you should find these stands to be quite adequate.

Sacrificing sturdiness for portability with good value.
I bought this light stand for location portraiture with the CowboyStudio Photo / Video 24in Large Speedlite Flash Softbox with L-Bracket, Shoe Mount & Carry Case. The thing this stand has going for it is its portability, it's very lightweight and travels very easily, it even comes with its own bag with a strap which is very useful for transportation. It works very well with the softbox which makes for a very good on location portrait shoot. The stand can also go down very low so for children it works out pretty well, it still has a very good height going up to 6 feet which is good enough for most headshots. The lightweightness is also its main weakness, it's just not as robust as the more heavier light stands but that's to be expected. I wouldn't want to use an umbrella on this setup as the slightest wind will just send the whole thing crashing down, that's why I just use my softbox since the softbox is less affected by the wind. Another con I can think up of is its stiffness. It may be with just my lightstand but the feet are very stiff and it takes some effort to unfold the legs, not really ideal for any quick setup but not a dealbreaker.Pros:- lightweightness- portability- low height- valueCons:- Not as robust as heavy lightstands- stiff legs- Not ideal for outdoor portraiture with umbrellas, portable softbox recommended.Overall I would recommend this product if you are in the market for a portable light stand on a budget. If you're just gonna use this with a softbox or just a bare flash then this is very ideal. Its lightweightness and less robust nature wouldn't be useful for full time studio work, though. This has location and portability built in mind. Hope this overview was helpful.

Amazing price but no instructions
I ordered two of these stands. They seem sturdy and definitely worth the price; and even include a nice zippered case with a strap! My only problem is that I have not been able to extend the legs all of the way; I can get to about the point that is shown in the main photo on the listing but not fully extended. I am sure that I could loosen the screws at some of the joints. I guess they are made to be tighter vs. looser so the stand is more stable? I am still giving it 5 stars because it is much nicer than the stand that came with a $100 reflector set; and works fine at the height it goes to now.

Get's the job done but not the sturdiest piece of equipment
Worked great for what I needed it for—holding speed lights—but the metal is soft and pliable. Advisable to use with sand bags.Pros:+ Very light weight+ Price PointCons:- Not very sturdy-Construction feels so-so

Slightly unstable, but versatile.
This is a good, basic light stand, which I use with my ring light. It collapses easily and, while it doesn't seem to be great quality, isn't flimsy either.I would knock off a star for stability, as it is slightly unstable with the ring light and develops a pronounced wobble when I add my DSLR to the setup, but I've found it's actually wonderful for styling wigs on as well-- I can just pop the wig head right on the stand and style the heaviest of wigs with ease! So minus one star for stability, but plus one for versatility.

Inexpensive Utility
I need some inexpensive stands that I could fit in baggage for air travel, that were basically disposable if they got damaged and these performed the task well. They are just sturdy enough to hold an umbrella and light strobe. I had them all the way up and the air conditioning vent almost blew them over, so they aren't for outdoors unless there is no chance of wind or they aren't extended very high. You will need flash brackets and umbrella clamps or combo units, as the tip is just a threaded rod. Carry case is sufficient for transport, but won't withstand abuse. But then again, neither will the stands. You get what you pay for generally speaking, and these were just what I needed. Very satisfied.
