works great , little tweaking required to have bluetooth disconnect after each scan so keyboard is available on iphone. Works great and the abilty to use as USB & Bluetooth is a plus you don't need 2 different devices to solve your scanning needs.I would suggest downloading the FULL manual from manufacture site as the little cheat sheet doesn't cover all the options and what they really mean.Note I found that double click of trigger actually makes the keyboard function available on iphone after scan like a "switch mode" just as a fyi.

I think you will be happy with these scanners.
The Inateck BCST-10 is an excellant short-range Bluetooth scanner. I'd give it about a max 20-25 foot range. I've compared it to several Symbol scanners and found that these were more stable when it came to Bluetooth communications directly to a Windows environment, they are easier to setup, and of course you aren't going to beat the price. I am using them to create a short range, portable work environment on both Surface and Acer tablets. I highly recommend them for portable point-of-sale, receiving, or inventory control systems if your process allows a max of 20-25 feet between the scanner and the tablet.

Not as advertised
Had been searching for a quality barcode scanner that I can use in conjunction with a mobile device (tablet in this case) to use while walking around in our warehouse. I purchased this unit based on good reviews on-line. Upon opening, the unit paired very easily with my iPad, and worked well when I tested scanning some barcodes into a generic notepad application. However, as is often the case with barcodes, we have a situation where the first character of each barcode needs to be stripped out for entry into our system. If you read the questions here on Amazon for this product, you will see that someone asks the question if this is possible, and the tech reply's with a VERY incorrect reply, saying it can do this functionality by setting Code 39. The tech clearly mis-understood the persons question, as Code 39 is an ASCII thing which has nothing to do with stripping the first character.Of course the manual that comes with this is just the quick start version, so I searched online and found the full version. Nowhere did it tell how to strip the first character in the output. I searched several of the other Inateck bluetooth scanner manuals, such as the DCST-70, and they all had this functionality. In the manual for those items it gives you the scan sequences to set that up (stripping up to 99 characters in front of, or at the end of, the scan output.)On the Inateck website they have chat support so I went there to ask about this. Be aware that the tech people are in asia (Japan I think) so you won't get an answer until the middle of the night. After my long description of what I needed in the chat, I got a couple word reply back, saying, "What is it you want to do?" Frustrating. After a second chat, the next middle of the night I got another simple reply that said, "Sorry, it can't do that." So...I'm returning. In short, I don't think it is that this is a bad scanner necessarily. Just don't understand why this model, which is more expensive than some of their other models, doesn't have that basic functionality that all of their other models have. Trying to decide now if I will try them again, or a different manufacturer.

Great USB Corded AND Bluetooth Laser Bar Code Scanner
Of all the Bluetooth scanners we tried, this was by far the best one. It's laser (not CCD), which is a plus. It has a good weight and feel, so it appears rugged. Its Bluetooth connection was quite reliable. It even comes with a USB cable that, with a long-press of the trigger button while connected to the computer, disables Bluetooth and becomes a corded scanner (great for using while charging, or when always next to the computer). The cable also charges the device, which has a built-in rechargeable battery. In the end, we opted for a 900MHz scanner, with a USB fob. The Bluetooth pairing process after "sleep" was too much for us, with any Bluetooth Scanner. But of all of them, this was definitely the best!

Works pretty well.
Works pretty well... it randomly unpairs itself from my phone. Doubt it's a phone issue - nothing else unpairs from my HTC One M8. Also, I wish there was a way to turn off the annoying loud beeping sound. I contacted the manufacturer, and they said the only way to do so would be to open it up and disable the speaker. I guess considering this is the cheapest bluetooth barcode scanner I could find, you get what you pay for. Other than that, it scans really well.EDIT: After posting this review, the manufacturer contacted me and informed me that there is a way to adjust the volume. I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 4, as the random unpairing is still an issue. The only thing they said about that was to make sure I'm following the instructions exactly... which I am. I know this because I am extremely familiar with the instructions from using them once every few times I need to use the scanner.

Works with Android Tablet
Bought this to test it out on an Android tablet for scanning barcodes for our event registration system. Paired up just fine and scanned just fine. We did have an issue where it would disable the Android keyboard and only use the scanner as an input device. I checked out their forum and it said to email their support and they would send an app to allow both the keyboard and scanner to work. Received the app and installed it and walked thru the setup and all worked as described. Overall pleased with product during initial testing will have to wait until November for the real world application.
