This is enamel coated metal. It's a bit larger than a standard porcelain coffee mug (more like a camping mug), so I generally only fill it about halfway at a time. The metal rim, therefore, does not get hot. Can't put this in a microwave, however, because it is metallic.

Love this enameled cup/mug, with the nice dark green and the VW insignia on it. The glazing is pretty well done, no bumps or uneven finish on it. Made somewhere in Europe, is what it says, but can’t remember where. I would have loved to have the inside some other color than white, as it tends to discolor with time and if you are forgetful enough to use a metal spoon or other implement to stir with to scratch the bottom. Otherwise it’s a very nice up, good size, not small or too large.

Came in a nice little gift box. The fact that it's made of metal is a bonus. The recipient immediately decided to use it in his workshop because now he doesn't have to worry about accidentally breaking a ceramic mug.

Good looking and very, very lightweight. Highly recommended!

This is a great quality mug, but not very good for drinking hot beverages since the metal absorbs the heat of the fluid and becomes too hot to handle. That's not a problem with cold drinks of course. Love the design and the green is the same color as my VW!

The cup is made of high quality metal. It is light weight. The lithographed pictures have not faded, due to the cup being washed multiple times. It is a great alternative to a ceramic cup because it won't break or chip.
