... third RC build and this is by far the best model in terms of craftsmanship
This is my third RC build and this is by far the best model in terms of craftsmanship. The aluminum frame is the main highlight of this buggy. You also have to be resourceful for more detailed information regarding suspension free play / toe-in toe-out adjustment to achieve a decent responsive RC. I installed a brush-less motor with the corresponding ESC. This buggy purrs like a cat in heat.Update: After a month of running the Scorpion, there are a lot of pointers I can share: Off road course can be more demanding and rough on the buggy. Make sure you inspect all screws after each use. The oil filled shocks can be tricky, I just lost one rear bottom spring plastic retainer. I had to purchase a replacement. after another session, the front shock upper retainer was loose causing the retainer to slide off the body. I had to dab a touch of glue on the bottom plastic retainers so they would be stationary. Again this is from putting this Scorpion through really rugged off road driving. The brushless ESC I installed generated heat inside the enclosed body of the buggy without any circulation. The ESC burned out and I had to replace it. I then drilled 3 holes on the back of the driver's head rest for circulation. I glued a plastic mesh screen for protection against debris and that seem to work just fine. Over all, I still give this Scorpion 5 stars for the over all construction.

Neato retro racer. Mostly good.
Pretty good overall - some weird issues with binding on the rear suspension. You really have to fiddle with it to make sure it doesn't get hung up while assembling it. Other than that, went together really easily and fast. The front tires are oddly super hard, while the rear tires are extremely soft. Kinda sad to see this kit was made in Taiwan - not that Taiwan makes crap, but I'm not even sure Kyosho, a Japanese brand makes stuff in Japan anymore. Oh well who the hell cares. I'm gonna drive this off a cliff anyhow.
