Learning Resources Pretend Play 3" Long Tape Measure - Ages 3+ Kids Measuring Tape, Measuring Tape Retractable, Educational Toys for Kids

I like this toy for our toddler! I tried to take photos that I was looking for and didn’t see you when I was shopping, just hoping it helps other parents. I’m trying to show the flexibility and the materials of the tape measure, (flexible, soft, safe), as well as the accuracy of the measurements. When you pull it all the way out as you’ll see in the picture, the measurements end and it stays no matter how far you pull it out. To roll it up you must manually turn the crank knob. I took a photo of the measurements held up against a friskers ruler that I have, and as I hope the picture shows, the measurements are pretty accurate. Overall, they’re very accurate, with the exception of the 1st inch. Depending on where the rigid plastic is attached to the tape it’s self, it might be a little bit short like minus. Still, I like this toy because it safe, creative, durable, and educational. My grandson got this for Christmas. I didn’t know if he would like it but he has measured the whole house. So fun and educational! Great idea!

This is very sturdy and has satisfying clicking noises both when you pull out the tape, and wind it back in. I was surprised how large it is; probably 6 inches tall and 1-2 inches wide. So this isn't just a child-safe mimic of an adult tape measure, which was more of what we were hoping for. Also, the tape measure itself is only 36 inches long, which again makes it less realistic.Overall we like this and it's probably best for younger than 4 years old.

Bought it for my son and he enjoys measuring things randomly. Good for him to learn.First one I bought had a broken piece in it as well as a crushed box. Got a replacement and the box was in better condition and no broken piece inside.

The media could not be loaded. My son would watch his dad build and want to participate. He was drawn to a tape measure. I was in the market for something light weight and safe for him to maneuver. That’s when I came across this kids tape measure.I was impressed when I received the tape measure because it’s sturdy and quality made.The handle is a nice addition for my child to grasp while he pulls out the tape measure and rolls in.A nice toddler addition tape measure for his toddler tools.

This product has been wonderful! We've had it for a few months now and it's held up wonderfully. My children haven't had any trouble reeling the tape back in - just thought I'd mention that since other reviewers mentioned it had been an issue for them. It is nice and safe, unlike a real measuring tape which was my biggest desire. It's a lot of fun to use. It's not super long, which can be frustrating for the kids at times and does limit it's abilities. Despite it's short length I think it's fabulous. It gets played with constantly at our house for actual measuring and just laying out toys along it or pretending to be handy like Daddy.

This is a really cute toy and idea but twisting it back together is hard for my 2 year old

Wish it were a bit smaller but my kids love playing with it. Perfect for 4 and 5 years old.

My son (3.5 yrs) loves this. He said "thank you, thank you, thank you Mommy!"His father is a carpenter and our son loves trying to use the real tape measures but they are sharp. This one is perfect for little fingers. Also helps with learning numbers.
