Very pleased with this item...it looks elegant, but is priced very reasonably. I have washed it several times and it still looks new. It sits on a very plain oval coffee table and "fancies it up" a bit. Nice with a vase of flowers or decorative piece of pottery on it. Be aware that the photo you see on Amazon is of the item WITH some kind of a background showing through the lace. The runner is ecru, NOT ecru and black or charcoal, that's just whatever surface it was sitting on when it was photographed.

I am so glad that person wrote a review and stated it is not dark like the picture that it only looks black underneath from what the runner is sitting on. It is absolutely beautiful. I am using them on my glass top vanity which has two shelves. I am sure I will be ordering more in the near future. Very reasonable price for something so pretty.
