Q: How many pounds of dog food will it hold

I have both the 6gal and a 10gal - the 6gallon can hold a 20 lb bag of Nature's Domain puppy food (small kibbles) perfectly. The 10gal can hold a 35 lb pound bag of Nature's Domain dog food (larger kibbles) perfectly. Hope that helps you/someone.

Cannot answer. I use my 6 gallon pail to hold a 25# bag of dog food. Using dog food @ 25#/0.77 cu-ft; and the 10 gallon container having a volumn of 1.34 cu-ft: I anticipate 44# of dog food can be placed in the 10 gallon container. Because I do not know the weight of your corn in #/cu-ft I cannot give you an answer. Locking lid is adequate protection from rodents; probably inadequate as protection against racoons, dogs.

Q: Would this be large enough to store a bag of charcoal? I don't have a garage so bags of grilling charcoal are forever getting wet.

I am not sure how long a bag of charcoal you are trying to store, but if you emptied it into the bucket, I think you could. The bag itself might not fit though!

I just put a 40 lbs. bag of large kernel dog food in it. It fit the whole bag.
