I used this reef-safe sunscreen after doing a lot of ‘research’ (googling) on different kinds for my trip to Costa Rica. I am fair-skinned and from the Midwest, and didn’t have much of a base tan going there, and this product protected me the whole time from the equatorial sun (I used spf 50 the whole time just to be safe). It also worked for the people I shared it with, one of which had sensitive skin and had experienced sunburns before while using other kinds of reef-safe sunscreen that proved to be less effective, even with multiple and appropriate applications. Now they have switched brands and are using this product as well! Would recommend. No complaints. Works great and will help to not destroy our oceans!

I love this sunscreen so far. I was on the search for a good SPF 50 mineral sunscreen that didn't turn me into Casper the friendly ghost (I'm a medium skin tone latina). I had purchased Cerave SPF 50 for body and it left me looking grey and purple, it looked worse in the sun. I am happy to say I have finally found an all mineral SPF 50 with non nano zinc oxide 20% that sits nicely (not overly thick and is spreadable). I don't know if you can use this on your face but since it's a sports version I don't see why not if you are working out or gardening outside as extra protection.

This sunscreen was great and I will definitely buy it again. I purchased this sunscreen because it is reef safe and we were traveling to the Caribbean. I have fair skin and burn easily. I applied this sunscreen each morning before heading to the beach and didn't reapply for the entire day even though the directions say to apply every 80 minutes. I was the only one in our group who did not get sunburn and after the first day, everyone was borrowing my sunscreen! The sunscreen went on easily and rubbed in completely. I ordered both the kids version and the sport version after reading other reviews. The only problem I had was at TSA at the airport. The size was TSA compliant, however, the tube is long and TSA inspected my suitcase because of the sunscreen. It passed their inspection. I will be buying this for future trips and the others in our group will be ordering it too.Thanks for a great product!!

Overall, this is a really good sunscreen. I’ve tried a bunch of zinc sunscreens after getting an allergic reaction to a banana boat sunscreen. This and the blue lizard are my two favorite brands. There is no strong noticeable scent and it definitely protects you from the sun. My only complaint is that it’s pretty thick and therefore a little hard to spread. This seems to be the case for all zinc sunscreens though. Also a fair warning to stay away from the coppertone all natural zinc sunscreen since that also gave me a rash.

I have very fair skin and can be sunburned in as little as 15 minutes of sun exposure. I go through a lot of sunscreen. I've always just used popular, grocery store brands, but last summer my skin started to get bumpy after sunscreen application. I thought maybe it was from the chemicals, that my skin was sort of trying to reject the toxins it was soaking up from the cream. I've never had any other skin reactions to any kind of detergents, fabrics, perfumes, or any kind of substance, so I wouldn't describe my skin as particularly sensitive.Last month I was going to Italy on a dream vacation and needed to take sunscreen along, so I decided to try Goddess Garden to avoid all those chemicals in regular sunscreen. I also liked that it was eco/reef friendly. Unfortunately, while I did not get sunburned, it wreaked havoc on my skin. After applying it on two consecutive days, my skin became rough feeling and itchy, and my face was super puffy. I went a few days trying to stay out of direct sunlight with no sunscreen and the puffiness went down, but my skin was still feeling pretty rough. On day five, we were going out on a boat, so I couldn't avoid sunscreen. The puffiness returned and the roughness remained. So I went to a pharmacy and bought different sunscreen which I used daily for the next two weeks. The puffiness never returned and after about a week and lots of gentle exfoliating, I shed the rough patches of skin except for on my neck where it took about another week to fully clear up. My best guess is the minerals were just to harsh for my skin as I do not have eczema and have never had any skin allergies.

Love that this sunscreen is all natural and it does help you not get sunburned. However, it does smear all over bathing suits and clothes and is super thick so it never rubs all the way in. When you get wet there's white streaks all over your body. Don't think I will purchase again.
