Now my mom has one, too!
I don't like cordless drills, typically; they don't have enough power to keep up with what I ask of them. Or they are clunky and unwieldly. My husband bought this one, and before I knew it, I wasn't bother to pull out my corded powerhouse drill to get a quick job done; I reached for this thing! So when I needed to do a job at my mom's house on the other coast, I sent her one of these. She's getting on in years, and a lightweight but powerful drill will be much more use for her than a heavy monster like what I prefer. It was exactly what I needed to finish the job for her. When ours goes, I'll be buying a replacement.Just don't tell my husband he was right.

Turned into a really good purchase.
We have 4 drills and this is the one we reach for most now. The difference in weight is HUGE but also being that it's smaller, it can get into places that we could not with our other old-style battery powered Craftsman and of course being cordless it's more convenient than the corded drills. We are probably average users, just using it for fence repair and normal 'around the house' type tasks. The battery life is great, I don't think we've even had to recharge it yet and we've used it a fair bit. We love the light on it, too.

Great tool for woman! Light and easy!
For the first time, I was actually able to use a power drill that really helped me to install a medicine cabinet on the wall. It’s very handy, small and light for me to use. I really appreciate the ease of use. Its really a great tool !

Ok for price. Get the Bosch.
Craftsman struck out on this driver. It's the bulkiest compact I've ever held and I have big hands. It is a solid inch longer from nose to tail than the Bosch. The trigger is sticky so variable speed is difficult. The direction switch is difficult to manipulate and very clunky. Top rpm isn't up to snuff. And only 1 battery? Who supplies one battery anymore? Spend the extra 40 bucks on the Bosch. You're welcome.

Great Drill!!!!!
I'm buying a second one after countless years of using the one I have. Really I can't remember when I bought it. It has as much power as my 18 volt drill and not as much as my impact drill of course. I love the smaller size for hours of use. This summer I thought I would need my impact drillto drill 3 in screws through 2 by 2's into my deck. It went right through with more to spare. Just love this drill.

Drilling my yard to simplify planting desert plants
Hey dude, this piece of Craftsman hardware actually works. I use a 1/4 x 12" carbide tip drill in my yard before I try to plant desert agaves. After drilling the hole in caliche, which covers my desert yard, I put a funnel in the hole and fill the funnel with water. The water eventually goes into the caliche and then after an hour or so, I can dig without a pickaxe. The soil here is terrible but the cactus and agaves don't seem to mind it a bit.

This was a gift.....
This was a gift, so, honestly, I don't know how he's liking it....but I have one exactly like it that I love. That's the reason I chose this one as a wedding gift. (a drill was mentioned in their registry) Battery life is really excellent, great strength for most jobs and light weight....great little drill!

High quality, which is sometimes lacking these days
I already had one of these from Sears..daughter's Makita battery charger quit, so I got this one for her. We're both happy. If need be, I will buy another.Bill Menefee
