A must read for college freshman women !
I really like this book that I got for my granddaughter who is starting college. The book is very realistic with good advice . It is not judge mental and The author understands that college students are going to experiment so the risks of these behaviors are addressed in a straightforward way . The book also talks about how not doing what the other kids are doing doesn’t make them a nerd but just respectful of them selves. The book makes a very good point to young women to not do anything they don’t want to do and how life in college often makes girls think they have to be doing what everybody else is doing. The reality of peer pressure is addressed very thoroughly in this book.

One of my favorite college books!
Someone gifted me this book and I loved it! I then went ahead and purchased it for a friend who was going to college. It was great the first time I read it and I also refer back to it! I definitely recommend this for women going into/already in college!

Bought this as a gift for someone I consider family. It's her first year in college in a new city.
I have a good friend who seemed to have been to hell and back, after dealing with and conquering debilitating health issues she raised a daughter who's super intelligent and is in her first year in college. Being that its been YEARS since we've gone to college we don't want to come across as old heads (Terms the new generation label people who are over 35 yrs of age).Anyways, my friend's daughter was experiencing some issues with adjusting and we wanted to do all we can without coming across preachy.. I thought this book would help. I bought and sent it to her and she was ecstatic to get it. I know she already has enough reading on her plate as is but maybe this can offer some insight into some of the situations she's dealing with. Being the only child she doesn't have an older brother or sister to help her navigate through the situations. So far she loves it. I don't think she read through it entirely but she says how it can be helpful as some of the situations in the book seem specially crafted to what she's experiencing.

Support for a College Freshman
After reading the positive reviews from college aged persons, I bought this for my niece who is able to go to college this January. After taking classes on line during the fall (Covid restrictions), she excited to continue her freshman year on site. As soon as she began reading her eyes lit up. She said the book is perfect.

Being safe while hooking up
Yes, that is just part of the advice offered to your daughter in chapter 2 and throughout the book.I don't know about you, but I want much better things for my daughter than hook ups with random men in college. This book is not at all what I thought. Dormcest (tips on how to manage it), advice on making sure your hook up has been tested for STDs, and even encouragement to go ahead and have that random fling because it is all part of the college experience.... needless to say, this book is not written from any type of ethical living point of view (Christian or other). I found this at a used book store and thought it looked interesting (the back cover is very misleading compared to what's inside); I am SO glad I previewed this before giving it to my daughter. Fortunately I only paid $0.25 for it-- my copy is going in the recycling bin.
