Good Ink though price is going up every year.
There are two places I can find ink for my R2400 other than amazon. Adorama (which sells them in amazon) and Atlex. Both are almost the same as far as pricing except Adorama's shipping is free. Atlex is close to my studio so I can drive there if I want to pick up some ink or paper the same day if it is required. On a side note I hate that companies try to force you to upgrade and create landfills of these machines that work well. I had to run a special program to stop the printer from auto-stopping which Epson does to make sure the quality of it's prints doesn't diminish which is another way of saying that you need to throw away the machine and buy another. Planned Obsolescence in other words. I hope to continue using this printer for several more years. The price of ink has gone up every year and it used to cost $9 and now it's up to $13 per cartridge.

Great product, but expensive
I love my Epson R2400, unfortunately, I hate paying the price for Epson replacement ink and it does go through ink quickly. I do wish someone else carried this particular ink cartridge so that there would be some price comparisons/competitions. I do believe in sticking with Epson, rather than a knockoff. Epson printers work best with Epson inks!!

Great printer, good ink. But overpriced for what you get.
I have had my Epson 2400 printer for 4 years now. Still going strong, produces great pictures. Epson ink is very good. But just like any other inkjet printer. They are making quit a bit of money on the ink. A whole inkset for this printer is $100 at a discounted price. And in the years since it has been out and replaced by a newer updated unit. The price of the ink has not gone down. But what can you do. Once you buy the printer your stuck with buying their ink until you get a differnt printer.

Four Stars
I don't go for re-manufactured ones with some other type of ink. I would have liked the cassette faster although I gave enough lead time for the order before I really needed it.

Helps make vivid, lifelike eye popping prints
Great for pro as well as amateur photographers. I use Epson original on my Epson printer as it's only the way to go as off-brand causes maintenance problems (endless inkjet cleaning cycles) or ends up with an unsatisfying end result.

Just wonderful.
This ink is not dark black, not medium black, not gray - it's LIGHT BLACK. I didn't know it was possible for a light black not to be gray, but what do I know? You learn something new everyday. Thank you Amazon!

It's Epson ink. It's a ripoff.
ISP. Ink Sucking Pig. That's what I call my epson 2400! I was part of the class action law suit against epson for their usage of ink. The company clearly hasn't changed.Nonetheless, I need ink. Often. I hate it but I'm stuck with it!(professional photographer and designer)

Ink variations from epsons K3 are the industry standard that no one else can match
Being a retired professional photographer I've used many printers and many inks for them. Epson's K3 inks are so far superior the others don't even tip the meter to a one star.
