Really excited about this. It’s my first split cake, ever. I just wish it came with instructions. Do I just use water?? Is there something else I need to buy to make it go on smooth & vibrant?? And I’m having a hard time finding a brush wide enough to get all the colors on it at the same time.

I like these face paints a lot. I work a lot with theater makeup and these are true cake makeup that are water soluble. The colors are bright and the kids love them. My only note is that this is a larger cake. If you use a 1" brush to apply, you're only picking up 3 colors. But, since it is larger, you can use the color combinations as you like. I use the blue and green together to make monster masks. I use the green and yellow for dragons. I use the red and orange for butterflies. You get the idea. Anyway, these are great and don't stain the child's skin at all. Comes right off with warm water and soap. And even wet wipes. What I really like, though, is the vibrancy of the colors. No opaqueness at all. You don't have to apply several layers for the color to pop on the skin. Just one layer, that's it.

This is not the rainbow cake I grab when I want to do a rainbow. The colors seem muted to me. However; that being said I DO use this more like 2 separate split cakes. The orange side is great for dragon bellies. I also use the opposite side some too. I think I have gotten spoiled with my handmade rainbow cakes and neon rainbows from Leanne Courtney.

I am new to facepainting as my hobby ... but did it at my Twin grand babies birthday party and was a huuuuge success...!!!..This is awesome .. easily can do multicolor .. fast designs on restless kids lol ..and then designs it wth the black in a separate pallet ..that I also have from Diamond Fax with multiple colors ...Excellent bright and beautiful colors and holding power and easily washed off ..!! And of note on kids faces used ... No Reactions reported ...!!!!...Highly recommend Diamond Fx to everyone ...!! Am In Luv With My Passion made even more passionate with these Diamond Fx colors ..👍👍👍👍👍👍

We use it not only for facepainting but also for fun, vibrant painting on paper. It washes fairly easily off of the kids, but we have seen the red color take a little more scrubbing than the other colors. ;)

Covers the skin well, even orange and yellow are vibrant. I've purchased other paints and orange and yellow are pale like don't cover well.

Got it for a friend. She loves it.
