Ocean Potion Ever Glow Self-Tanning Lotion, 20.5 Ounce

I'm so pale and wanted to start a natural tanned look before I head to my beach vacation, so that I don't blind people with my paleness. I read all the reviews, and was excited for it to arrive. I've used to 3 times since I arrived yesterday, and I definitely see some gradual color picking up. I exfoliated prior to the first application to ensure that the moisturizer goes on well. Once you put it on, I notice it take a while to dry (direction say to wait before you put clothes on), but it's okay since I just go on and put my makeup on first This also smells like the Juicy Fruit gums / Fruit Loops...which is nice.I was going to give 3 stars, but decided I was nice and gave this 4 stars instead, because the packaging was terrible. It was wrapped in flimsy cardboard, not even in a box, and the contents bust out everywhere. That was a bit disappointing.

I can not put into words how great this stuff is! I found this about 5 years ago and I swear by this stuff it is hands down the best tanning lotion EVER! I decided awhile ago I was going to try this new tanning lotion that was all over the internet I paid $40 for one small bottle of it where they said it would not smear, you would get an even looking sun tan glow....well after my $40 investment and having streaks all over me I immediately went right back to this product. For the price you can not beat it, the smell is great, you will not streak or become an orange color. I am here to tell you there are times where I know I didn't put this on even and yet I have NO and I repeat NO streaks! I have been using this all summer and winter and people always say what a great tan I have. PLEASE DO NOT look anywhere else but here if your looking for a self tanner you will not find anything better then this!

-Ocean Potion Skincare Everglow Daily Moisturizer-I decided to try this based on the good reviews. I realize that this is a very subjective kind of product, but even still the reviews did not even come close to the experience--at least not for me.I have sensitive skin, and this lotion caused me a lot of irritation and inflammation on first use. It's hard to know what caused this problem since there is a long list of ingredients--perhaps three times as many as in other products that I've used. There are things like sunflower seed oil and citric acid, either of which I imagine would cause a reaction for some people. This was just half of it though. The smell is ghastly. It even seemed to put off fumes which irritated my eyes. The smell is kind of like a mutant version of a baby powder along with some acrid citrus mixed in. Again, this is obviously subjective as some people seem to like it. The bottle is very big and seems like it would be a good value if you like do like it, but mine is headed for the trash.I am sorry that I will not be able to report on it's effectiveness at tanning since I cannot bear to use the product again. Maybe this will work for some people who do not have sensitive skin and like the smell, but I can only speak for myself.I recently tried this Jergens tanning mousse product -  Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Sunless Tanning Mousse, Light, 6 Fluid Ounce , and I can highly recommend that over this for tanning. It did not irritate my skin at all and the scent was much more pleasant and much more subtle.Not Recommended - Would Not Repeat

I had pretty much given up on fake tanning for my fair skin until I found this stuff. All other tanners either leave me too orange, streaky, or dark. This product gives me the perfect slight golden tan that builds up gradually over a span of a few days. It's never made me streaky or splotchy, but as with any tanner, it's best to apply it carefully on your hands/elbows/knees to avoid splotchiness. The smell reminds me of Starbursts or like many other reviewers have noted, orange creamsicle, but I do find that the smell turns into a more typical fake tan scent over time. I find it to work best when I apply it at night before bed, let it dry on my skin for about 10 minutes, and then shower it off when I wake up. Overall, I really, really enjoy this product and the beautiful light tan it has given me!

I'm So happy I decided to get this. I remember last summer[09] they had this at my wal-mart but I overlooked it because I thought it was just for tanners, to prolong tanned skin! well I am well far from being TAN! lOl Well I saw someone on Youtube talk about it, & how they loved it as a tanner..How it is a gradually tanner..well on the bottle it says "Daily Moisturizer W. Gentle Skin Darkner" I don't know how I missed that! But it really does do the job & i much perfur this over the Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer <-even though i LOVED that & that's great as well. I just like the smell of this lotion BETTER than Jergens =] & I have started tanning & i use this as my after tan lotion! & it does help make my tan last & the price is better than the after tan lotions i've seen on here & in the salons!!..& since I don't like to go in a tanning bed ALL the time atleast 2 times once a week @ most =] Def. check this out you'll LOVE IT!

I have been using this for several days and so far, it's pretty good. No streaks or splotches and a subtle and gradual darkening of my skin. My only complaint and the reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is an unpleasant smell once the product is applied and dries/absorbs. It's not a strong smell but I was very aware of it. After 2 days, I resorted to only using the lotion on my legs and then I don't notice the smell they way that I did when I was using it on my arms and shoulders. It smells good while putting it on so perhaps it just doesn't mix well with my personal body chemistry once it dries.
