Moohue Needlework Counted Cross Stitch Kits Angel Lovers 14CT Cross Stitch Fabric DMC Cotton Thread Art Crafts (Angel Lovers)

I have been doing counted cross stitch kits for 30 years and this one is a bit unusual. Everything came nicely packaged in a plastic envelope. It includes needles, a threader, floss, 14 count aida, pattern and instructions. I've never seen aida marked off in this grid before with what is supposed to be water soluble ink. This eliminates the need to find the center and start there like every other project I've done, but the pattern does have center arrows should you wish to start it that way.Update: I noticed as I started this kit that there is NO backstitching in the pattern at all. Normally this would embellish the picture and add a little detail. I'm not sure how it will turn out now not having this nice little finish.

There is a lot about this product I liked. The pattern is nice. There are 39 colors and they came pre-sorted on a numbered card with a separate index identifying the numbers to the colors. Very handy. The cloth comes with a grid printed in blue (which hopefully will be covered by the stitches--although the edges might be an issue). But, BEWARE beginners!! There is no instruction sheet. This is a great pattern, but I would not recommend it for those who consider themselves beginners. Also, communication with the seller, while very prompt, did not solve the issue as apparently they don't make instructions, and I am not actually sure they really understand counted cross-stitch as they called it "cross embroidery." Maybe that is because it came from China and that is what they call it. Or maybe it is the difficulty of trying to communicate in English. Anyway, again great for the experienced cross-stitcher but not the beginner.

The product was as discribed. I can't wait until I get it completed.

I like the fact it's a challenge, but no back stitching. If I would of read above I would of never bought this. Will not buy from them again.

This kit was far too complicated to use and the instructions were non existent.

Took me one year to complete. I found it a little frustrating and confusing at times because there are too many different colours in some areas causing you to constantly change floss colours. I was not missing any of the floss when the kit arrived, but ended up short on 12 colours of floss and I had to go to the store to buy extra floss to complete this project. I am glad that there is no backstitching in this project. In the end, I loved how it came out. I would recommend this to any seasoned stitcher. Yes, there are no instructions, but they were not required if you have cross stitched before.
