Great way to talk about sharing with our kids
The first thing you notice when reading this book is that the authors have kids themselves and have been probably gone trough some hardships with the issue of getting kids to share. As kids are complex little people, they tend to be more authoritarian in their little minds, and when they perceive something as theirs (or desire something specifically) it can be very rough on parents. This is where these kinds of teaching method come handy. It presents sharing not as something forcefully imposed by parents or society, but as a way of living that will have eventually benefits to those who shares, while maintaining the nature of sharing as not a way to get other things. It is a good read for parents as well, because as todays children’s movies, this kind of lecture caters to two levels of understanding, first the child, who will get the simple but joyful message, and the parents, that will see this as an important and effective way to talk about this theme with their kids without imposing it. It will come naturally and, in my experience, it’s the best way of teaching. Great job and I hope the authors can give this kind of treatment to more conflictive themes that we have seen in the great challenge that is rising a kid today. Loved the artwork!

Love this book!
Love this book for our kids. The illustrations are beautiful and make you want to read the book. And our kids just loved the story of Sofia and sharing. Great book to encourage our little ones to share. They were glued to the pages as I read and wanted to know what would happen next. Highly recommend.

Share the Happiness
The illustrations were outstanding! The story was really good- I like the randomness and imagination. The message was the best! I love how they shared the promise of taking care of the truck, and the lesson in the end about sharing sadness and happiness- what a great message!

Cute story, not an intro to sharing
This book is very cute and my son (3 1/2) loves it! I bought it to help him start to understand sharing and why it is a good choice to make, but it's not really meant for that. It is about a little girl that wants to share but told her grandpa that she would take extra special care of this toy so she feels like she can't until she decides they can share the promise to take care of it. It's a nice story and does show that refusing to share has risks and that sharing makes people happy, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for since the little girl is happy to share (my son is very much not) so it doesn't show a kid going from not wanting to share to wanting to share exactly, at least not in the way he's struggling with. However, there is plenty in there that leads to a discussion about these problems. Overall a good story with a good message that may or may not actually be understood by tiny minds

My daughter really enjoyed this book.
Very good book to read to my kindergartener. It's a great book to help her learn sight words and also teaches her the importance of sharing and character building.

Lengthy read
This might be better book for older children since it is lengthy, not for a 2yr toddler. Truth be told I haven’t read through the whole thing myself, don’t like the way it is written.
