A must for any Sounders fan! Pentz writes with a very engaging style. I have long enjoyed his articles, but was unsure of how his skill would translate to the longer format of a book. It is thoroughly enjoyable, well written, and made me want to keep reading more. For a fan of the club, this book was a treat. It made me want in updated version every few years as new players come and new stories are created.

Great book by Matt; very much agree that even if you aren’t a soccer fan, this gives you an inside perspective of how a professional sport team - from owner down to players and even fans, functions when trying to take the ‘next step.’really enjoy how it kind of ambles along from one person’s perspective, back to the next, keeping the timeframe semi-constant, but without a rigid timeline.

I gave this book to my father-in-law as part of his Christmas gift. He really liked it and said it was interesting. I read the first chapter as a sample and it was well written and draws you in.

This was a great book. Inside stories, a very good grasp of what happened... up through 2016 I was heavily involved with the Club and I can tell you that Matt has gotten almost everything right about the season and what happened.

This is a must read for ant Sounders fan. It will also be enjoyable and interesting for anyone interested in American soccer.

Excellent read. A must have for any Sounders fan, and would be interesting for any fan of sports writing as well.
