Good Kit.
First impressions really good sturdy piece of kit easy to assemble and didn't have to 'fine tune'. Used it straight after assembly. Nice cuts and should be fine for what I am using it for(reclaimed pallet items). Item was packaged fine with no damage to box and arrived before the estimated date. All said happy with the purchase which was also cheaper than I have seen for the same item on other sites. Evolution tools seem to be getting a lot of good reviews also which is why I went with this item.

Great time and effort saver
Delivered within 24 hours of ordering with Amazon Prime. Simple and straightforward to assemble out of the box - it took about 30 minutes to put together, and another 30 minutes to check all the alignments, which were all pretty well correct.Have since used it on the project for which it was bought (a fence and pergola assembly in the garden), and it functioned perfectly. I took some time to set it up on a Workmate close to a garden bench, which seemed to work OK in supporting the long timbers, but a dedicated stand and/or workpiece extensions would certainly make things easier, and repetitive cuts more accurate. Cuts are all clean. I haven't tried some of the functions yet - partial depth cuts still to be attempted. At the price (<£100) this was a real bargain. If you are prepared to spend more, the 10" (255mm) blade model would be a good step up. I can see a time in the future when that extra cutting depth might come in handy. But for all I need now, this has everything I could ask for.

Developed a motor fault but received the best customer service I've seen in ages!
I bought this on sale in November 18, it's had reasonably regular use since then but in August '19 it developed a fault with the motor. Normally that would be where I start to complain, however in this case after filling in a simple online registration for the warranty claim a lovely lady from Evolution emailed me for a little bit of information, arranged for prepaid carriage to come and pick it up from my door, and had it fully repaired and delivered back to me at no cost within a week, with NO protracted arguments or weaseling. Solid customer service. While I'd obviously prefer to have not had an issue in the first place this sort of service simply blew me away and I actually wouldn't hesitate to buy another Evolution saw (in fact I actually did order the newer model of this while waiting on the repair as I expected to have months of down time! How wrong I was). As far as performance goes, it's working as well now as when it was brand new, and has been a good daily driver for light aluminium angle and timber. Easy to operate, rigid where you need it to be, and safe performance.

Amazing!!
I nearly cancelled this item having read all the other reviews!! I am now glad I didn't!! Its is an amazing saw.. allow a good hour or so to put it together and fine tune it ie the laser and so on which is fully adjustable.. this is also the plus model and came with all the extras like the dust bag etc... once you have taken the time to set the saw up then I am sure you will come to the same opinion as me and be overjoyed with your purchase!!

This is the best value for money for miles around
This is the best value for money for miles around. The blade is excellent, however if not intending to cut through nails etc get a finer toothed blade for a better finish. I liked it that much I bought the stand that complements it. I was so impressed with the stand quality I bought another for my thicknesser

Good tool. Very capable chop saw
Good tool. Very capable chop saw. Found a couple of silly things with it that I wasn't expecting. When you cut at an angle if the wood is too thick the slide that holds the blade seems to hit the stop at the back preventing a cut all the way through. Also you can set the 0 degrees (90 degree square cut) the thickness of the marking out hence not giving you a perfect right angle cut. Have to be carful to make sure that it is set exactly. May just be me but have used it loads and would buy it again.

Great for DIY.
First saw I've bought of this type, and I think it's great. Easy to assemble and get going. Bought it to do a house out with picture rail and it made a day long DIY job into a 1 hour job.My only criticism is that the vacuum bag doesn't seem to do anything at all, so be prepared for sawdust everywhere.

Good with only minor reservations.
Can't really complain. It's a lot of mitre saw for the money. Useful that the disc can cut multiple materials, it saves having to change the disc constantly. The motor is strong and can cut most materials without issue. The sliding mechanism is very useful.Paired with the stand, it becomes even more useful as it can be set up for repetitive cuts with ease. It can also assist with cutting longer materials. One minor point is that the laser is out of alignment. One cold argue the point of the laser is to aid precise cuts, which obviously it can't do if it's not aligned properly!
