Second Chances
This movie carried a good message about fulfilling ones destiny. Riley Taylor falls out a tree one fateful day only to be saved by an angel whom she believed to be her deceased grandfather. After being given a second chance she finds out that she has been given a special ability to heal people. Julie her mother had lost her faith when she miscarried a much wanted baby and as a result of her despair she separates from her husband with the intent to divorce. The illnesses of each person she heals gets absorbed into her own body causing her to become ill. In the end you find out that although Riley's outcome looked rather bleak all of the sacrifices that she made had a very divine purpose.I didn't really find this movie to be negative or depressing. Life is about the giving and taking of energy both positive and negative. When you are comforting a friend who has just had an argument, bad day, bad news and so forth you have made the conscious decision to share the burden of those emotions. Unconsciously there is energy being exchanged between the two people communicating both positive and negative. The listener is getting something because they feel like they are helping and the person who has the burden is able to unload and hopefully find clarity about the issue. The exchange of energy is going on all of the time between you and your animals, coworkers, children, spouse, customers and so on. In fact if you think about what words are you think about sound and when you think about sound you know that sound is carried forth or turned into energy. This is how I look a prayer in a general sense as words are intangible to God in Heaven. Prayer gets transformed into energy as it gets carried to heaven for God to answer. Can one physically touch faith or forgiveness? No of course not as both of these things are something that one would put their actions or emotional energy into getting to come about.Because of my beliefs about these energetic exchanges I could kind of see why Riley took on the burdens of other when she healed them. To me the point of the story was that God has a purpose for our lives and sometimes we will live through circumstances that are rough and undesirable but no matter how destitute you may feel there is purpose and hope to be found.

A Spiritual Movie For All Ages
The Heavenโs Door movie is definitely different from what I expected it to be, yet still a fulfilling film to watch. Heavenโs Door deals with the character of Riley Taylor (Kirstin Dorn) undergoing a major spiritual change after her grandfather Nate Christensen (Edward Hermann) passes away and her maternal grandmother Ruth Christensen (Joanna Cassidy) gives her a book about death. Rileyโs mother Julie Taylor (Charisma Carpenter) understands that her mother means well, but does not agree with her daughter having the book. A short time later Riley Taylor experiences a near death experience and an even closer connection to heaven that also gives her the gift to heal people and pets. Around this time she also notices the change in the marriage of her parents Julie Taylor and Leo Taylor (Dean Cain). There is more plot details to the Heavenโs Door movie, but I must stop here.

Belief
I don't mean "belief" in God although that is part of the story but only partly. Regaining a belief and family support and a bit of miraculous things happening. I LOVE the end of the story. So make sure you watch all the way to the end.

I was very moved by this movie especially being able to relate to some of what was going on. After I had near death experience and literally heard and felt angels; I was guided for my own healing and to help others. However, I too, tend to take on what others have through doing healing therapies or even touch which learned as being empathic so can relate to being consequences and still working on understanding and mastering it. I feel God and angels working through me more and more and I learned when I put myself in sacred space first then I don't pick up other peoples stuff and am able to be a vessel to help others without taking on their stuff. I am still learning yet this is very real!

GOD is beyond Awesome
Ok Here is my take.Never limit GOD, God can do whatever HE wants whenever HE wants.now most of this movie was "not Biblical" did not Honor GOD, or give GOD glory for his mighty works. They did mention Angles, but honoring Angles is not found in the Bible, as Angles Honor GOD and accept no praise for them selves.Edit:One thing that really bothered me about this movie, was that anyone would have to suffer for doing a miracle, we might suffer from man, but GOD would not punish us for honoring HimAs far as the tree that they honored, GOD can use anything, he can even use dry bones. Now if you look at this movie from the aspect of , GOD can do whatever HE wants, then a lot of it is possible, no matter how we feel about miracles, just because we cannot imagine it, does not mean it is not possible.Just remember that GOD will not go against his own word.

I absolutely loved this movie and would watch it again and urge others to watch it too......doesn't go heavily into religion nor any kind of preaching but it does allude to God's angels, and the power of goodness and faith.....and to those of us who have witnessed miracles, it is not far fetched and is a reminder that miracles do happen and re-ignites inspiration.....there are people with the gift to heal....I have met them and it was so refreshing to see a movie about it, not the same old violence, greed, lust in other movies.....wonderful family, sweet movie! Thank you to those who thought of making it!! All the actors were really good and gave touching performances.

I really enjoyed this movie
It's so rare to find one that isn't trashy nowadays. I enjoyed the storyline and thought all the actors were well cast. OK so it's not a big production like the Titanic, it's a feel-good family movie with some angels and a theme of heavenly assistance. I don't know why people get so uptight and give it one star because it doesn't fit their religious views, that's not the purpose of the film to be a religious documentary. Just some good clean entertainment showing the importance of family. I probably won't watch it again but it wasn't a waste of time to watch it once by any means.

heaven's door
I loved it. A Family movie that was well acted, scripted and directed. Nobody disappointed me in this and for once I didn't scroll along to move things along. Fun, sentimental but not overly so. Religious but not sickly so, and I'll watch it again with family around.I hope Ms.Carpenter does more like this.John Oram

This movie was ok, its like your typical hallmark where you know what's going to happen even though its been only 5 minutes of the movie. I would like to see hallmark come out with something different. Not the same typical movie.
