Zipper Mend
The product is fine. You just have to follow the directions and use a certain tool to lock it in. The tool is a small circle shaped pliers to lock it in. Only way it works. It's a good product, but finding the right tool to do it can be challenging. Overall, a great way to replace old zippers that broke or came loose. It is solid steel and will lock in and be on your jacket or sweater forever. Highly recommend this product to anyone. Just remember to have the right tool from the directions and it will work. Guarantee to last!! Thank you.

Product Description a Bit Mis-Leading
Bought the silver. It was easy to install, and appears to be sturdy. Was surprised to only receive one piece, as the product description next to the picture clearly states, '2', which I interpret as a quantity of 2. The overall description states 'single item,' which I thought meant a single package of 2 pieces. Also, it was not an unopened product. It was in a little unmarked brown envelope.Below is the product description, which should show '1' not '2', and "unopened product" should not be listed to prevent further confusion:•2•804879100256•Brand New Item / Unopened Product•Zipper Mend

Easy to install, works well, easily falls off though. Glue together after installing
Easy to put on zipper. Works well. Does not lock once installed so can be removed to use on another zipper if clothing wears out. Updated to reduce by one star since the pull was lost during the 1st week of use. Ordered another one since I like how it works, but I'll glue it together after putting on this time.

Easy to install, sturdy, but bigger that I hoped it would be
When I broke the zipper pull on my favorite pair of casual pants, I thought this product would save me...and for the most part, it did. This replacement zipper pull is sturdy and was pretty easy to install. My only complaint (and in all fairness, the description for this items points it out) is that it's pretty big to use on a pair of pants. On a jacket, it would be perfect, but on my pants, it was just a bit hard to pinch the 2 halves together (but I got it done), and the pull itself (not the zipper) doesn't rotate up and down quite as easily as the original, due to the slightly larger size and tight fit in the zipper (but again, it does work). On a more positive note, it pulls the zipper up and down just fine, it's sturdy and seems like it will easily outlast the pants I put it on, and I now have my favorite pair of pants back in use without the aid of a paper clip as a zipper pull.Just be aware that this zipper pull is a very tight fit on a pair of pants -- it worked for me, but it may or may not work for you. Any chance the manufacturer might consider making a replacement zipper pull that is more appropriately sized to a pair of pants?

Can Work With Glue!
I am providing a mixed review for this product:* When I initially used the Zipper Mends for the two broken zippers on my expensive bag, they did the trick (I thought) but wouldn't stay shut. I had to apply Superglue to the ends that secure it to the zipper pull to ensure that it remained closed.* The Zipper Mends are ugly!! To remedy this, I purchased silver metal earrings from an Etsy seller, dismantled them, and glued them on the Zipper Mends. They look terrific, and really add to the look of my expensive bag!

Using pliers it clips easily onto existing zipper
No need to replace a zipper or use a bread tie as a workaround. Just add this wonderful fix and click tight. My hoodie now works just like new.

These don't last long on luggage if you travel frequently.
At first I loved these as a replacement for luggage zippers, but after using them for over half a dozen years, I've realized that every single one I've used to replace a zipper on luggage has come off. This is the case even for luggage that I always carry on; these come off, I believe, just pulling my bag out of the overhead. So, I quit buying these, and just starting using the cheaper (roughly 50-20% what these cost) - and more durable - paracord type replacements. Admittedly, the paracord type don't look as good on luggage, but I travel a lot for business, so this is all about convenience and cost effectiveness.

Worth the Expense for Luggage and Large Zipper Repair
These pulls are expensive, but well worth it for luggage or other items where the zipper tab (the part that actually opens and closes the zipper coils/teeth and that the pull attaches to) is not completely closed. I bought two 28" Heys suitcases with double-zip (two zippers that meet in the middle) closures. After two trips involving airline travel, all four zipper pulls were gone thanks to the semi-open zipper tab design. Heys refused to replace the pulls even after I sent pictures, so I bought these. They're a perfect fit, heavy duty and seem pretty secure even on the semi-open zipper tabs. They have survived two additional trips and are still there. I won't ever buy another Heys suitcase, but would absolutely buy these pulls again for luggage, jackets, outdoor gear, etc. I think they're too large for smaller zippers like pants and skirts. One word of warning: don't play with the closing mechanism until you place them on the zipper. Once you close it, it won't open again.
