Perfect for anyone, beginner or pro.
First, I'll start by saying I don't practice BJJ. My daughter does. But, because she wanted to practice more to catch up with her class and not get beat up as much when rolling, I bought mats to put down in the basement and I have been helping her practice after work every day. She's progressing well, but I wanted to work on her grips, different gi chokes, etc with her, so I needed a gi to do so. I looked around online and basically decided to get the cheapest one, since I only wanted to use it practicing with her, not competing myself or getting too rough in it. I basically expected something cheap that would fall apart fairly quick and need replacing... But by then, my daughter would understand the different grips and everything and I wouldn't need a gi anymore. Well.... This one came in, and it's honestly FAR better quality than I expected. It's light pearl weave is comfortable and feels very durable. The lapel is thick and comfortable. The pants are very light, breathable rip stop fabric and have a descent amount of string to tie them, so you're not messing with tying tiny little strings...My daughter loves practicing with me in a gi... It's more realistic for her... More like class or a competition, not just like she's wrestling some weird adult that attacks kids and tries to arm bar them. So, with this thing being such good quality for the money, I guess I'm going to be wearing a gi to practice with her for quite a while.Anyone that is just starting out and doesn't want to spend a lot of money, this gi will do what you need it to, and is just as nice as a bigger name brand gi, but without the insane price tag. Or, if you just roll a lot and need a spare gi so you don't ruin your competition gi... You can't go wrong with this one. Not a lot of patches or anything on it... It looks nice, feels nice, is comfortable, and isn't going to fall apart on you while you're rolling.

Good gi, short sleeves
I’ve had the ski for a little while now and it seems like a good quality key, but the sleeves were pretty short for me. I’m 5’11 and 170 so I got an A2. The pants fit well but the sleeves are short.

Affordable, lighter than my American Top Team Gi, will be buying more!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this Gi because of the price and because I needed some extra ones. I currently have the American Top Team Gi (which is WAY more expensive). I've used this for a few Jiu Jitsu classes and so far it has worked well for me. No rips or tears. I'm interested to see how it holds up over time. I pretty much alternate between this Gi and the American top team one. I will update this review after a year or so. Yes, I do think it will last for at least one year. I go to class theee times a week. Several folks in my class are curious about this and bought this Gi as well after grappling with me.Comparison:Compared to the America Top Team Gi this one is lighter in weight. I do think the fabric is a bit more breathable because it is lighter. The material is a little bit thinner. You can tell the difference when you are grabbing at the collar.Sizing: I'm 5'8 and about 160 lbs. I bought the A2 blue. It fits me well. I've washed and dried it for 20 mins in the dryer, then hung it for line dry. No shrinkage with that method. I'm glad I bought this size, fits me well. Plus you can tighten the pants. It’s easy to move around and roll with this. Feels comparison to my expensive Gi.Color: Even after washing the blue color is vibrant.Overall: If you want an extra Gi, this is a good one to purchase! Very affordable and does the job. No complaints!

Great Jacket, great customer service, great price
I love the gi top (or jacket). It fits me well, is lightweight, and seems plenty durable enough so far.I had previously purchased a sanabul gi and I never want to wear it anymore, because I like the Hawk jacket so much. The pants are baggy on me, but it's hard for me to find a good sizing - short legs and a belly that I'm still working on shrinking. As others have said, order one size up from what you might be used to.If you look at their sizing chart, though, you can see that the weight limits are a little different than other manufacturers (slightly less weight for an A5 in my other experience).Wash your jacket in cold water and let it air dry. Go ahead and wash the pants in any temperature and throw them in the dryer, since they may be a little baggy on you.Great customer service. They really worked with me to make me happy when I emailed them with my thoughts on the pants.

It’s great for the money
I don’t know if I like the collar that has some kind of plastic in it to keep it lightweight. It just feels stiff. Does make it harder for an opponent to use your gi against you for chokes but can make it harder to not get choked if they do use it against you. It’s super thin and lightweight, they call it a pearl weave, which it has held up so far. Only time will tell but I’m a little suspicious of it. I guess we’ll find out. But it’s cheaper on the wallet than other brands and isn’t a bad gi. Time will time if it’s gets ripped. It’s a great gi for when you first start out, I think. It’s cheaper priced so if you or your kids doesn’t like BJJ, you’re not out much. Also, I would suggest but one size bigger than your normal size. I recommend using Fuji gi size chart to find your size and go one size bigger for this brand. I’m an A3 and the gi is just a tad smaller in certain spots, which since I haven’t washed it yet worries me because a gi will shrink about an inch after it’s first wash if the gi is made with preshrunk cotton which most are.

Awesome Gi
Awesome gi for the price. Strong material, just as good or better than a more expensive gi.

Great Gi
Great lightweight Gi, have used for a few classes now and it’s holding up great, shrinks quite a bit so consider that.1/3 the price of most Gi’s out there

Great quality for a great price
I'm a 5'5 woman, about 140 lbs. I got this in black and it's great quality. Been wearing it weekly for about 5 months and it's holding up well. The pants hit at the ankles, which is perfect. The belt is a good thickness. Highly recommend. In fact I just ordered another one in blue!
